Pros

  • Specialty in marketing for events, tourism, and wine companies
  • Provides dedicated contact for each client
  • Applies in-depth marketing research techniques

Cons

  • Pricey
  • Often fully booked during peak seasons

Purple Giraffe easily takes a spot in our list because of its large team that has a good variety of skills and experience. They’re adept at serving clients from various industries like EFM Health Clubs, EssentialHR, Quality Wool, and more.

They also assign a dedicated contact to each client, ensuring a personal touch behind the service.

They shine in crafting unique campaigns for events, tourism, and wine marketing—perfect for Adelaidean businesses. Past clients said that the agency’s insights into the mentioned industries were in-depth and innovative.

In addition, they emphasize using research techniques like surveys and focused group discussions to create cost-effective and data-based plans for marketing.

That said, they may not be the best for companies on a tight budget, as they’re pricey. Also, they’re often fully booked during peak seasons.

Pros

  • Distinct artistic vision
  • Specializes in digital marketing and branding
  • Great with client collaboration
  • Witty approach to logos, taglines, and copywriting

Cons

  • Limited appointment slots
  • App design fee is a bit pricey

Digital Noir has a distinct artistic vision inspired by the noir genre that’s especially appealing for brands with vintage, modern, and minimalist inspirations. It’s no wonder brands like Weber, Viterra, and Nova had great results from the company.

The company specializes in digital marketing but expanded its services when they were acquired by one of Adelaide’s biggest marketing companies, KWP!.

With this acquisition, they now handle full marketing campaigns and large-scale branding projects. They excel at collaborating closely with clients, simplifying creative ideas, and bringing client visions to life with ease.

Their team brings a refreshing approach to communication—light, fun, yet professional. This upbeat attitude carries over to their taglines, logos, and copywriting, adding an extra touch of personality to their work.

However, a downside to their service is their limited appointment slots. Also, their app design fee is a bit pricey.

Pros

  • Great branding designs inspired by modern trends
  • Makes info about branding and marketing more accessible to clients
  • Great packaging work
  • Good at creating unique identities for brands while incorporating current design trends

Cons

  • Limited appointment slots
  • Sometimes replies to emails late by a couple of days

Here! Here! operates in the realm of modern design, may that be cartoonish designs, minimalist illustrations, and more.

With this aesthetic, they handled some pretty big clients like the University of South Australia and the Lights of Lobethal Festival.

A friend of mine had great pleasure meeting the team, which is composed of 5 folks with diverse strengths in illustration, website design, graphic design, and more. They’re great at deconstructing branding mumbo jumbo to make clients feel more comfortable.

They’re especially good at packaging, having created standout branding designs like Cake Boi’s pastel cartoon boxes, Colour SA’s solid-blocking geometric logo, and Dolly’s minimalist branding with a country twist.

A view of their portfolio easily tells me that they’re very talented at creating unique visual identities. They make sure that the brand’s personality shines through while incorporating current design trends (minimalist, vintage, etc.).

However, keep in mind that their team is small, so appointment slots are limited. Some clients noted delays in getting initial inquiry emails answered, taking a couple of days.

Pros

  • Expertise in real estate marketing
  • Skilled in minimalist designs for general marketing outputs (logos, websites, printed material, etc.)
  • Great use of UI/UX techniques
  • Good at brand refreshing/re-designing

Cons

  • Designs are a bit inflexible
  • Takes a couple of days to answer the website’s contact form

Identity Marketing shines in the realm of real estate marketing as seen through their track record. Since 2012, they’ve had a solid track record working for companies like Catalyst, Mastacon, and Curtis & Blair.

They have a solid grasp of minimalist design, which they apply to various marketing outputs (logos, websites, printed material, etc.).

I also appreciate that they use UI/UX techniques that make browsing websites a breeze. Their copywriting team also deserves commendation for their engaging and interesting work.

They’ve had plenty of experiences in brand refreshing/re-designing too, often injecting much-needed innovation into legacy brands, which helps them expand their audience. This is done through their sharp brand auditing (review of current branding elements).

However, some may find their straightforward designs a bit inflexible. They also take a couple of days to answer their website’s contact form.

Pros

  • Good for minimalist branding
  • Experienced team
  • Good for brand revitalization/rebranding projects

Cons

  • Can be more flexible in their designs by adopting different styles besides minimalism
  • Pricey

If you’re a fan of minimalist brandings, Fig Tree Digital is especially recommendable. Their portfolio of branding work shows a clear understanding of establishing memorable and impactful use of clean lines and simple colors.

They’re led by Maria de Conno who’s also a chairperson of the Australian Marketing Institute. She has a team of experienced designers, copywriters, and digital marketers whose past projects exhibit fresh marketing ideas.

It’s no surprise a colleague of mine seamlessly aligned their brand plans with hers, implementing a successful revitalization campaign for their decade-old brand. Other brands with similar successes include Hunter Financial and Wallis Smith Financial.

They make it a point to make meetings casual yet productive. Think meetings over coffee.

However, they can be more flexible in their designs by adopting different styles besides minimalism. Additionally, their overall fees are somewhat high.
