Pros

  • Also sells bikes and spare parts
  • Ducati specialist
  • Has genuine Ducati spare parts
  • Does classic restoration
  • Authorised service centre of Aprilia and Moto Guzzi

Cons

  • Customer service needs improvement
  • Long wait time for parts ordered online

The Bike Factory is a motorcycle repair shop in Adelaide that’s known for being Ducati specialists. Hence, it’s the most recommended repair shop for riders having issues with their Ducati.

The shop has genuine Ducati spare parts, so you don’t have to worry about getting the wrong parts for your bike.

Another reason why we’re confident in recommending this shop is they’re an authorised service centre of Aprilia and Moto Guzzi, which solidifies their expertise in repairing these brands.

Another edge that they have is their excellent classic restoration service. The shop can bring the 70s and 80s bikes back to their past glory.

They can store European, British, and Japanese bikes—pretty much every bike available in the market.

We also love that they sell bikes and spare parts, so if a repair needs a part replacement, they can find some in stock to finish the repair early.

However, if they don’t have the part in stock, you may have to wait weeks before it’s replaced.

Delivery also takes time for spare parts you ordered from them, whether they are in stock or not. Hence, we recommend looking somewhere else if you’re in a rush.

Another thing we were a bit disappointed about is the shop’s customer service. Some staff tend to be rude and pushy when it comes to sales, making customers uncomfortable.

They also don’t update customers regarding the repair process unless the customer calls first.

Pros

  • Over 21 years in business
  • Qualified diesel mechanic and motorcycle mechanic
  • Offers dyno tuning
  • Suspension specialists
  • Open 6 days a week

Cons

  • The quoted price is sometimes different from the actual price
  • Communication can be better

With over 21 years of experience in motorcycle repair, Race Bike Services has enough knowledge to help you fix your beloved bike.

Tony, one of the shop’s owners, is a qualified diesel mechanic and motorcycle mechanic. Rest assured that your bike is in good hands once you leave it for repair.

Tony specialises in race bike suspension, setups, and engine work. He also has worked for Yamaha and Moomba, further proving his qualifications.

What we love about this shop is they offer dyno testing and tuning, which gives customers an idea of their motorcycle’s horsepower, torque, and air-fuel mixture.

This also lets the shop and the owner know what modifications can be made to the motorcycle.

Another thing we love about the shop is they are open on Saturdays, although until 12:00 PM only. This allows customers to bring their bikes to the shop on a Saturday if they’re busy on weekdays.

The only downsides would be the shop’s communication with the customers and the difference between the quoted and actual price.

They don’t update customers regarding delays in the repair or the parts they’re waiting for, which leaves the customers clueless about the status of their bike.

The quoted price is also sometimes a lot lower than what is actually charged, so customers are often surprised when they come to pick up their bikes.

Pros

  • Knowledgeable technician
  • Huge inventory of tyres
  • Reasonable pricing
  • Friendly technician

Cons

  • Doesn’t fit tyres bought from a different shop
  • Closes earlier than advertised

DC Motorcycles is a small repair shop in Marion that specialises in tyre-related services like wheel building, tyre-fitting and puncture repairs.

What we love about this shop is its wide range of tyre inventory that allows them to promptly finish all tyre-related repairs that customers need.

Just note that the shop only fits tyres bought from them. If you bought tyres from other shops, you wouldn’t get a service from DC.

Aside from tyre-related services, the shop also does several scooter services, so you can drop by to get your scooter fixed.

If you don’t have a scooter yet but want to buy one, you may also drop by the shop, as they have scooters available for you to purchase.

Another thing we love about them is how affordable and reasonable their services are. The tyres are usually priced lower compared to other shops, and the cost of the shop’s repair services is worth every dollar paid for.

On top of that, the technician, Don, is also always pleasant to work with. He’s knowledgeable and gives out sound advice and tips for different tyres.

We are just a bit disappointed that the shop tends to close earlier than advertised, causing confusion to customers. They sometimes close an hour or two earlier, so some customers who come over are met by closed doors.

Pros

  • Over 40 years in business
  • Offers classic restoration
  • Offers modifications
  • Efficient workers
  • Excellent customer service

Cons

  • The quoted price is sometimes different from the actual price
  • Closed on weekends

Established in 1981, K & M Motorcycles first started as a motorcycle dealership shop but has grown and now includes a workshop that offers repair services.

What we love about this shop is its excellent customer service. The mechanics were extremely knowledgeable and gave explanations of what the problem was.

They also explain how the repair process will push through and what the customer can expect from them. They were very honest with what they could and could not do and how long the process will take.

There were just instances when the quoted price was different from the actual price, which is to be expected, as most quoted prices are based on visual inspection only.

We also love how efficient the mechanics are. They get things done quickly and effectively, so customers rarely return for the same problem.

Aside from repairs, the shop also offers motorcycle modifications and classic restoration, specialising in Harley-Davidson bikes.

They’ve built and modified several bikes to match the customers’ needs and wants. You can drop by their shop and consult the mechanics on what can and can’t work with your bikes.

Just note that they’re closed on weekends, so consider taking a day off from work to work on your motorcycle.

Pros

  • Over 30 years of experience
  • Preferred repairer of AAMI, Shannons, Apia, Youi, and Famous Insurance
  • Only motorcycle crash repairer in South Australia
  • Wide range of mechanical services

Cons

  • Long turnaround time
  • Some instances of the problem persisting after repair

Nigel Morell’s Motorcycle Services has been in the motorcycle repair industry for over 30 years and has built a reputation for having high-quality workmanship.

What we love about this shop is its wide range of mechanical services. Aside from general maintenance work, the shop also offers crash repair, painting services, and transport and recovery.

In fact, the shop is the only motorcycle crash repairer in South Australia. Hence, if you suffered from a crash and your bike needs extensive repair, Nigel is the one to call.

The shop also offers bead blasting for a cleaner and more beautiful bike.

Another great thing about Nigel Morell’s is it’s the preferred repairer of AAMI, Shannons, Apia, Youi, and Famous Insurance, so customers insured by them can put their trust in the shop.

As for the things we found disappointing, the shop tends to take a long time before they can finish a repair. Even basic repairs take weeks to finish, which is very frustrating, especially if you need the motorcycle.

There are also instances when the problems persist even after the repair. Hence, customers need to return their bikes for further work. After it’s returned, they will have to wait again.
