Pros

  • Great for adults
  • Professional and approachable teachers
  • Good for busy students
  • Flexible fees

Cons

  • Not the best choice for children

Voicehouse Vocal Studio takes a spot on our list because of how streamlined their services are. From fees to the duration of sessions and the set-up of lessons, they make the experience comfortable for clients.

This strength makes them especially recommendable for adult clients, who make up the majority of their students. Their teachers are highly professional but are always down for a chat to keep sessions comfortable.

They’ve been around since 2008 and have worked with more than 7,000 singers. It’s made possible by accepting students without the need for long-term contracts, which is especially great for those who are busy.

Another strength of the studio is its learning materials which are easy to read and informative. The materials have unique and technical tips for singing rather than generic ones.

As for their rates, we like that they’re flexible depending on your level of commitment and budget. They even provide auto billing services which make the experience more convenient.

Aside from this, it’s not the best choice for children, as the majority of their students are adults. You can observe this in their learning curriculum too.

Pros

  • Teachers are experienced and respected in the industry
  • Great for rock and metal genres
  • Great equipment for recitals
  • Provides many chances for live performance

Cons

  • Leaning more towards the rock genre
  • Learning culture is not very formal

ARMI Australian Rock & Metal Institute’s strength lies in its network of experienced and respected musicians in the industry. Many have had international exposure and are known in the progressive metal and rock world.

Mitch Brackman leads their vocal lessons, and he’s versatile in teaching different singing styles. He was classically trained at South Australia’s Elder Conservatorium of Music, and he can adapt to genres like jazz, pop, and metal.

Another aspect we liked about ARMI is its musical equipment. For recitals, you’ll have access to band and stage music gear and even performance lighting.

Their curriculum isn’t very formal and can adapt to your preferences. This makes it especially great for older students.

Moreover, they hold many events regularly which provides students with a means for exposure to live performances.

If there’s anything we didn’t like about them, however, one is that the majority of what they teach and perform is rock-related. This may not be the cup of tea for students who prefer classically-inclined vocal lessons.

Some may also not like the learning culture in the studio. If you’re more into highly structured lessons, their style may not be the best for you.

Pros

  • Emphasizes creativity and entertainment while learning
  • Has been established since 2000
  • Has many branches
  • Good for those preparing for AMEB

Cons

  • Studios are small
  • Class sizes are a bit big

Learning Through Music is a great choice for singing lessons because of the student-centric curriculum they use. They emphasize creativity and entertainment for students, which keeps them more interested to learn.

They’re one of the most established vocal schools in Adelaide, having been around since 2000. Many of the teachers have received formal classical music training and have worked overseas.

Another great thing about the school is that they’re accessible because they have branches in Woodville, Walkerville, Klemzig, Seaton, and Maylands.

We especially recommend them for those who want to prepare for the Australian Music Examination Board Exams because of the good track record of their students for this exam.

They also provide ensemble performance opportunities so students can sing alongside pianists, guitarists, and more. It helps in developing the students’ performance skills.

We were just a bit disappointed with the small spaces of their studios. They also lack performance equipment.

Aside from this, we found their class sizes a bit too big. This can lessen the chances of the student receiving direct feedback from the teacher.

Pros

  • Uses multi-sensory curriculum
  • Has a well-made online learning tool
  • Good with children of different tempers
  • Affordable fees

Cons

  • Mostly caters to children
  • Class sizes are a bit too big

Forte School of Music has a unique curriculum that teaches music using a multisensory approach. We recommend it because it’s a great way for developing your child’s ear while entertaining them.

One of the best examples of this is the Jungle Music sessions. It’s a mix of building social skills, musical skills, and improvisation.

Another aspect we found commendable is the Practice Buddy online education tool. It’s designed to capture children’s attention.

Their teachers are great at handling children of different ages and tempers. In addition, they have many educators available through their branches in Allenby Gardens, Black Forest, and Morphett Vale.

Their fees are also some of the most affordable we’ve seen. In addition, it’s easy to register your child to their school because of their online enrolment tool.

A drawback of the studio, however, is that they mostly cater to children. They accept adult students, but it might not be the best choice for them.

Aside from this, we found their class sizes to be a bit too big to allow more intensive and personalized teaching for each student.

Pros

  • Well-experienced trainer
  • Good for vocal choir lessons
  • Great in establishing teamwork
  • Also teaches speech, drama, and piano

Cons

  • Doesn’t offer individual vocal lessons
  • Only has Saturday morning for choir learning sessions

Robins Music Academy is a great option if you’re looking for classical training from a well-experienced and respected musician. It’s led by Natalie Robins who has extensive classical experience.

She has studied and performed in London and has formally studied speech and drama. She also has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, which is why she’s great at teaching children.

The studio is best for those who want a vocal choir learning experience. Its curriculum is heavy on the classical side of music, which is great if you want to establish a solid foundation.

We like how their choir sessions, which are held at Good Shepherd Church Hall, help in improving the social skills and teamwork of children.

Furthermore, their fees are very affordable for regular sessions. It’s easy to avail of multiple lessons, including the performing arts and piano lessons along with the vocal choir one.

That said, a downside is that they don’t offer individual vocal lessons. This can be a deal breaker for those not interested in singing in a choir.

Aside from this, the choir vocal lessons are only available on Saturday mornings. This can be limiting for some students.

Pros

  • Exceptional vocalists with incredible range and talent
  • Convenient booking process and seamless event setup
  • Stellar reputation and rave reviews
  • Affordable pricing options for various budgets

Cons

  • Doesn’t offer promos yet

Oh boy, let us tell you about our experience with Deviation Acoustic, the live vocal singer company that left us speechless (pun intended).

Their services are simply out of this world. From the moment they hit that first note, we were transported to a musical wonderland, which blew us away.

In our opinion, their vocalists have some serious pipes and can effortlessly hit those high notes that make your heart skip a beat. It was like having a private concert in our living room, but without the hefty price tag of a superstar.

We love that convenience is the name of the game here. Booking their services was a breeze; they were responsive, accommodating, and took care of all the nitty-gritty details.

And when it came to the performance itself, they arrived on time, set up quickly, and made sure everything ran smoothly. No diva drama here, just pure professionalism.

Moreover, Deviation Acoustic is the talk of the town, and now we know why. They have a knack for leaving a lasting impression on their audience.

People couldn’t stop raving about the incredible talent and unique arrangements. Let’s just say, we’ve never seen so many jaws drop in unison.

Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: cost.

We were initially concerned about breaking the bank for this kind of luxury, but Deviation Acoustic surprised us with their reasonable pricing. They offer different packages to suit various budgets, making it accessible for all music lovers.

However, they don’t offer promos at the present. We advise checking their website from time to time to find new and amazing deals.
