Pros

  • Polite and knowledgeable staff
  • Offer truck rental
  • Good variety of trucks
  • Almost 90 years of experience

Cons

  • Long wait time
  • Staff can be very busy

CMV Trucks Centre has been one of the most trusted places to go to for Adelaideans looking for trucks for sale since 1934.

It’s the second longest-serving Kenworth dealer in Australia, so many fans of the brand come to the shop when they need new trucks.

Other than Kenworth trucks, they also offer DAF trucks and some used trucks from other brands, so there should be plenty of choices for you and your business.

Each of the brands they sell also has a wide range of truck types, making it easy for customers to find a truck that will work well for them.

What we love most about the centre is its polite and knowledgeable staff. When we visited, they were always smiling and willing to answer every question the customers had.

They knew the details of their inventory by heart and explained them in layman’s terms, so it was easy for customers to understand.

However, despite the politeness of the staff, the centre can be very busy, which leaves a lot to be desired for their customer service.

The staff sometimes has to kindly ask customers to wait since they have to do other stuff like pick up new arrivals. They can take quite a long time to come back, so customers either have to return the next day or wait for another staff member.

Delivery for the trucks also takes quite some time, a lot longer compared to other dealers.

Pros

  • Accessible location
  • Fully stocked and wide range of trucks
  • Experienced and knowledgeable sales staff
  • Fast finance program for UD trucks

Cons

  • Slow turnaround on truck service
  • Limited used trucks options

Located just 20 minutes away from Adelaide CBD, South Central Truck & Bus is one of the leading truck dealers in South Australia.

Our favourite thing about the dealer is their wide range of brand-new trucks. They’re packed with Volvo, Mack, and UD trucks, giving customers more options.

They even have electric trucks, which are relatively new in the market, making them one of the first truck dealers to offer them in South Australia.

The only disappointing part of their inventory is the lack of used trucks. While they do offer them at times, they usually don’t have them in stock.

Another great thing about them is they offer a fast finance program for UD trucks, which allows customers to get finance approval fast and with less documentation.

If you’re interested in this, you can contact them. They have very experienced and knowledgeable staff, so they’ll be able to give you a great overview of the program.

The staff in the store also provide great customer service. They’re very attentive and approach to assist the customer as soon as the client walks in.

The only frustrating part about them is the slow turnaround on their truck services. They sometimes take several days before they even begin checking the truck and a few more days to finish the repair.

Pros

  • Wide variety of trucks
  • Temporary full expensing is available
  • 12 – 36 months warranty
  • High-quality fleet of trucks

Cons

  • Customer service can be improved
  • Slow turnaround on truck service

Daimler Trucks Adelaide is an authorised dealer for Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, and Fuso Trucks, making them one of the best places to go if you’re a fan of those brands.

Their fleet of trucks is also of the highest quality, as noted by many of their former customers. They rarely encounter any damage and defects with their trucks.

They have a wide variety of trucks, from small and medium to heavy-duty trucks, so you can find a truck that will work for whatever purpose you need it to.

Another great thing about them is they have a temporary full expensing (TFE) offer. You can avail of this as long as your business has an aggregated annual turnover of less than $5 billion.

TFE will allow you to claim an immediate deduction on the business portion of the cost of the truck in the first year it’s used to help you with your taxes.

We’re just disappointed with their customer service and the slow turnaround on their truck service.

It takes them weeks to finish repairing problems that would normally just take a few days. Trucks are even sometimes not ready on the day they promised the customers.

Additionally, they’re very hard to reach on the phone, and when you finally reach them, they sometimes put you on hold. They also don’t return calls they promised to return.

Pros

  • Wide variety of trucks and brands
  • Great customer service
  • 24/7 roadside assistance

Cons

  • Limited used trucks inventory
  • Can be expensive

Offering Western Star, Man, and Dennis Eagle Trucks, Wakefield Trucks is one of the best-rated truck dealers in South Australia.

They have heavy-duty, 4×2, 4×4, and 6×4 trucks available for customers, giving clients better choices for themselves and their businesses.

They, however, have a limited inventory of used trucks. They currently only have one Kenworth truck, so there’s not much choice for clients who aren’t looking for brand-new trucks.

What we love most about them is the excellent customer service that they provide to customers.

When we visited, the staff members were very welcoming and helpful, ensuring they paid attention to our needs.

They were also very knowledgeable, giving great suggestions on what trucks would work well for us and our needs.

We also love that they provide 24/7 roadside assistance for all the trucks that they sell, giving customers a guarantee that they’ll receive help in case they face a problem with the truck.

The only drawback about their trucks is the prices. They’re a bit more expensive than other dealers.

Pros

  • Friendly and experienced sales staff
  • Wide variety of funding options
  • 5 years of 24/7 roadside assistance
  • 5 years warranty

Cons

  • Limited brand variety
  • Mechanic service is not that reliable

Hino Motors is one of the leading truck manufacturers in the world, so it’s easy to understand why CMI Hino Adelaide made it to this list.

They have a large fleet of trucks, including some of the newest models of Hino trucks. They also have a lot of used trucks for those looking for budget-friendly options.

As a Hino dealership, their brand new inventory is only composed of Hino trucks. Thus, if you’re not a fan of the brand, better to look elsewhere.

Their used truck inventory, though, has other brands like Iveco, Suzuki, and more.

What sets them apart from other dealers is they have a wide variety of funding options, making it easier for customers to get a truck.

The funding options they offer include operating lease, finance lease, chattel mortgage, fleet management, novated finance lease, and novated operating lease.

They also provide 5 years of truck warranty and 5 years of 24/7 roadside assistance. Hence, customers are assured they won’t be left with defective trucks.

They offer mechanic service, but it isn’t as reliable as other dealerships. Some customers reported some parts were missing, while some reported that they couldn’t fix the problem their trucks had.
