Pros

  • Established in 1992
  • Great facilities
  • Offers many services
  • Compassionate staff

Cons

  • Pricey
  • Limited schedules available

Stephen Terrace Veterinary Clinic was established in 1992, making them one of the most trusted clinics in eastern Adelaide.

They have 7 veterinarians on their team, most of which have many years of experience. Many have worked abroad, including in the UK, Hong Kong, and South Africa.

Their clinic is notable for its modern facilities. They have great equipment for surgery and diagnosis, such as dental x-rays, endoscopes, and therapeutic lasers.

One of the best offerings of the clinic is its anesthetic medicine. It’s aided by a well-trained team of anesthetic support personnel.

Their services have a wide range encompassing important diagnostic, surgical, well-being, and health care services.

Plus, many clients praise their compassionate staff. They’re professional in handling the emotional side that some clients, unfortunately, have to deal with.

That said, one downside with them is that their fees are pricey in comparison to other vet clinics in Adelaide.

Aside from this, they often have limited schedules available because of the high demand for their services.

Pros

  • Caters to many animals
  • Has a large team
  • Extensive set of services
  • Straightforward with customer communication

Cons

  • Sometimes moves appointments without prior notice
  • Has received complaints over rude receptionists

The Parade Norwood Veterinary Clinic has one of the largest teams we’ve seen. With 8 veterinarians and a large administrative team on their side, they can handle many patients at once.

One of their highlights is that they provide services to many animals, such as horses, guinea pigs, snakes, and rabbits. This makes them good on-call veterinarians for farms.

They have extensive medical and well-being services. They provide surgery, microchipping, grooming, behavioral advice, and more.

Another advantage of the vet clinic is its straightforward process for consultations and appointments. Upon calling them, they’ll guide you well regarding the preparations for your pet’s health check.

We also appreciate that they’re great at handling emergency appointments. Their team is fast to respond and professional throughout the process.

If there’s anything we didn’t like about them, one is that they sometimes move scheduled appointments without prior notice.

Aside from this, they’ve received complaints that their receptionists were rude to some clients.

Pros

  • More than 50 years in operation
  • Provides pet acupuncture
  • Extensive set of services
  • Gentle with handling pets

Cons

  • Takes some time to respond to emails and calls
  • Has received complaints for not being very cooperative with clients

Para Hills Veterinary Clinic is one of the most trusted veterinary clinics in Salisbury, as they’ve been around for more than 50 years.

One thing they’re familiar with is pet orthopedic and cancer treatments. They’ve handled many cases like this, and they have a good track record.

In addition, they’re a great choice if you want behavioral counseling and training for puppies. They employ healthy socialization methods that are highly effective.

We also like their use of pet acupuncture, as they’re one of the few clinics to provide it. It’s done by Dr. Cathy Skinner, who is accredited by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.

Plus, many clients praised them for their staff’s gentleness in handling pets. This is a good sign of their training and dedication to animals’ welfare.

We’re just disappointed that they take some time in responding to calls and emails. This can be particularly inconvenient if your pet needs immediate care.

Aside from this, they’ve received complaints for not being open to cooperating with clients’ suggestions for the treatment of their pets. Some said that some of their representatives talked over them.

Pros

  • Team is coordinated and well-organized
  • Well-designed clinic
  • Good with providing and explaining pet insurance
  • Accessible location

Cons

  • Some veterinarians only have around 5 years of experience
  • Pricey

Rose Park Vet’s strength lies in their coordination and well-organized way of accepting guests. From your first call to follow-up treatments, their team is professional and easy to communicate with.

Their team is composed of 6 veterinarians, with some of their specialties being soft tissue surgery, animal dentistry, and general surgery.

Furthermore, visits here are comfortable, as their clinic is spacious and well-designed. This makes visits more comfortable especially for nervous pets.

Another strength of the clinic is in how they arrange pet insurance plans for you. They’re thorough with the pros and cons of each plan, along with providing recommendations about the best one for your pet.

Plus, they have a very accessible location near St. Ignatius Catholic Church and HOYTS Cinema. It also has adequate parking space.

We’re just a bit iffy about that half of their veterinarians only have around 5 years of experience as of writing. This shouldn’t be much of an issue, though, as they’re skilled in their work.

Aside from this, their rates are quite pricey compared to nearby veterinary clinics in the area.

Pros

  • Mobile veterinary services
  • Veterinarian has more than 20 years of experience
  • Affordable fees
  • Veterinarian is trained for stress-free treatments

Cons

  • Limited equipment
  • Limited schedules

Vet About Town is a mobile veterinary service, which makes them a very convenient choice. They’re easy to contact, and they bring complete equipment for each visit.

It’s led by Dr. Kristen who has more than 20 years of experience. She’s trained as a Fear Free Practitioner, which means that she specializes in making the treatment process stress-free for pets.

Their mobile set-up makes them a great choice, especially for pets with diseases that render them immobile. They respond quickly to messages and calls, which makes them great for emergencies.

Aside from this, they’re contacted by many for euthanasia cases.

The service gives pet owners a chance to allow their pets to rest in a place familiar to them. They do this in a dignified and professional manner too.

We also like that their fees are affordable considering how convenient they are to contact. This can be seen in both their consultation and treatment fees.

If there’s anything we didn’t like about them, it’s that their mobile set-up makes their diagnostic equipment limited compared to other clinics.

Aside from this, their schedules are limited, as they have to bring all their equipment to different locations for every client.
