LocationRundle Mall, Adelaide, SA 5000
Opening HoursMon to Thu: 9 am – 5:30 pm
Fri: 9 am – 9 pm
Sat to Sun: 9 am – 5 pm

The longest mall in the entire country with a 528-meter-long runway, Rundle Mall is probably Adelaide’s busiest shopping center. With over 400,000 shoppers per week, this spot is always overflowing with energy and goods.

Rundle Mall’s fantastic for food escapades, entertainment, and, of course, shopping sprees! We enjoy shopping here because of the buzzing brands composed of popular Australian retailers, flagship stores, and independent sellers!

Rundle Mall is also a hub for fashionistas, as the most-visited stalls here are owned by famous clothing and footwear brands such as Sephora, Vans, H&M, Dr. Martens, and Tiffany & Co.

Local bands like Australia Fashion Label and Caliber are also thriving here!

With a straightforward design and directional guides placed on almost every corner of the mall, our team also never had any issues navigating this shopping precinct.

With over 700 stores, 15 arcades, and 300-plus services, these features are truly helpful for all shoppers!

Shopping Suggestion: Due to Rundle Mall’s popularity, it gets extremely crowded during peak hours. If you want to shop at your own pace, the perfect time to visit this spot is during its off-peak hours from 9 am to 11 am.

Location297 Diagonal Rd, Oaklands Park SA 5046
Opening HoursMon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 9 am – 5:30 pm
Thu: 9 am – 9 pm
Sat to Sun: 9 am – 5 pm

With four vast floors and 136,778 square meters, Westfield Marion Shopping Center is Adelaide’s biggest mall. With over 300 stores of trendy brands like Bershka, Apple, AllSaints, and Hollister Co., this place is always hip.

We love shopping at Westfield Marion Shopping Center because it has multiple food stalls that serve affordable and easy-to-eat snacks.

Food kiosks like Kirala Sushi Train and San Churro Chocolateria never fail to provide us with energy during our shopping binges!

Westfield Marion Shopping Center is also superb for those who are looking for top-of-the-line beauty and wellness products and services.

For our skin and health care needs, we always head to Specsavers, The Beauty and Brow, and Mecca Maxima!

Our team also frequently checks out the homegrown brand, Rebel Sport Limited, not just for top-notch sporting apparel but also to support our local designers.

This spot is always full of sporty shoppers, but our team found out that it’s not crowded at around 9 to 10 am!

Shopping Suggestion: Westfield Marion Shopping Center’s sheer size might make you feel tired. If this happens, we suggest taking a break at the mall’s cinema complex, the Marion Megaplex, which has 26 theater screens!
This cinema complex is regarded as the most extensive movie theater in the entire Southern Hemisphere!

Adelaide Arcade

Location112/118 Grenfell Street, Adelaide SA 5000
Opening HoursMon to Fri: 9 am – 6 pm
Sat to Sun: 9 am – 5 pm

Adelaide Arcade is a heritage shopping center with a gorgeous exterior and an array of shops that offer high-quality and distinct, custom-made products. This historic shopping spot opened in 1885 and is still one of the top destinations for today’s shopaholics.

What we enjoy the most about this place are the shops that let us explore our country’s past through cultural remnants and antique treasures.

A Rare Notion, a shop for vintage clothing and accessories, is a prime example of these historical shops.

Adelaide Arcade’s pizzazz is also undeniable, not just because of its colonial walls covered in elegant and colorful lamps but also its art and fashion retailers.

Our artsy selves can never resist Diamond Gallery, our go-to art shop in Adelaide Arcade and one of the shopping center’s most visited stalls.

We often visit the gallery for its custom-framed replicas of works by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Vincent Van Gogh.

For our fashion needs, we always check the latest accessories and apparel offered by Adelaide Vintage, Fella Hamilton, and I.S. Wright. We like these shops because of their voguish merchandise that combines vintage glamor with present-day flair and zing!

Shopping Suggestion: The shopping experience in Adelaide Arcade is never complete without visiting one of its most popular shops—Haigh’s Chocolates!
Trying out the premium sweets this chocolate shop offers is almost considered a shopping tradition here!

Opening HoursMon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 9 am – 5:30 pm
Thu: 9 am – 9 pm
Sat to Sun: 9 am – 5 pm

If vintage-themed shops are not your thing, perhaps Port Adelaide Plaza’s mostly contemporary stalls are.

The Plaza is a modern shopping destination that offers fresh food, innovative health and beauty products, and contemporary fashion finds!

This shopping center’s daily deals and events are some of its features that attract us and our fellow shoppers.

The plaza’s clothing shops and restaurants are the most generous in this regard, as they’re the ones that usually have different promos every day!

Our favorite feature of this shopping center, though, is the ALDI Supermarket because of its weekly Special Buys promo. This makes our shopping splurges unpredictable because we never know what on-sale item will fascinate us!

We also enjoy scouring through Veronika Maine’s catalog of casual outfits. The clothes here have vibrant colors and energetic designs that are very essential for a modern-day drip to slay!

Shopping Suggestion: Liquorland, one of the country’s largest alcohol retailers, can be found in Port Adelaide Plaza. With pre-mixed drinks and exclusive brands of beers, ciders, and wines sold to almost every pub, this spot shouldn’t be missed!

Opening HoursMon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 9 am – 5:30 pm
Thu: 9 am – 9 pm
Sat: 9 am – 5 pm
Sun: 11 am – 5 pm

Adelaide’s only direct outlet mall, Harbor Town Premium Outlets, is home to more than 130 renowned local and foreign brands. We enjoy shopping here because the mall’s stores sell these prominent brands with around 30% to 70% daily discounts!

Our furry pals are also very much welcome in the outlets. With pet-friendly policies and several pet supplies shops, this shopping center’s a terrific and safe place for pet lovers and their pets!

Harbor Town Premium Outlets is exceptional too for those who are looking to purchase very affordable medicine, vitamins, and other vital healthcare products.

The mall’s Chemist Warehouse, as a prime example, sells these necessities with up to 50% discounts!

Fashion connoisseurs will also rejoice once they see the low prices of highly-regarded clothing and shoe brands at Harbor Town Premium Outlets!

If you’re looking for stylish swimwear or casual clothing, the local brands Baku and Billabong are highly recommended by us. Classics like Nike and Adidas also have affordable spots in this place and are two of the reasons why we always go back here!

Shopping Suggestion: The main specialty of Harbor Town Premium Outlets is its furniture shops like Adairs and Minimax.
These shops sell custom-made homewares at affordable prices and also offer flexible forms of payment, so you must check them out!

Jetty Road, Glenelg

LocationJetty St, Glenelg SA 5045

Glenelg doesn’t just offer captivating sandy-white shorelines or crystal-clear waters; it also has an impressive shopping street.

The Jetty Road is one of Glenelg’s main attractions, and it boasts nearly a kilometer of shops that sell exceptional goods and chattels!

Known as the California Venice Beach of Australia, Glenelg’s Jetty Road is a beautiful and calming spot for checking out summer souvenirs, exquisite jewelry, relaxing cafes, and soothing massage parlors.

For us, though, its best features are the rows of flashy boutiques!

The Lumiere Collective and Attitude Boutiques are where we usually go whenever we come to Glenelg’s Jetty Road. These two shops seem to apply a snazzy and feisty fashion design philosophy to their merchandise, and we’re definitely here for it!

If you’re planning to buy cute souvenirs for kids (and for yourself), Jetty Road also has Daisy and Hen to offer. From comfortable pajamas to cuddly plushies, this children’s boutique is a haven for child-friendly products!

Shopping Suggestion: If you’re not in the mood to walk from store to store, we suggest going to The Ivy Room, a comprehensive gift shop that’s perfect for all ages.
The Ivy Room specializes in products like jewelry, purses, household goods, and baby presents!

The Parade, Norwood Suburb

LocationRundle Street; Kent Town, Adelaide

Situated in the heart of the eastern suburb of Norwood is the booming The Parade—a shopping strip that runs from Fullarton to the Portrush Roads. From extravagant gelato parlors to special flowers and plants, this spot is a cornucopia of worldly goods!

Our team enjoys biking, so we always go to The Parade’s premier bike shops to check the latest cycling equipment or for bike maintenance.

Powerhouse Sports and Sportspower Norwood are our go-to bike shops here because their goods and services are affordable!

Since we often shop at The Parade during the daytime, we are very susceptible to the sun’s heat. Thankfully, The Parade is most known for its multiple cafes and restos that typically offer indulging and refreshing ice cream and gelato!

Here are some of the best ice cream cafes and gelato parlors you should check here:

  • Ben and Jerry’s
  • Cafe Buongiorno
  • Cold Rock Ice Creamery
  • Gelatissismo
  • St Louis House of Fine Ice Cream (We always visit this one because of the premium quality, Parisian ice cream!)

If you’re into vintage jewelry, music, or rare stone collections, you should also visit The Parade to check out The Pawnbroker’s World. It’s a shop that lends, buys, and sells vintage or second-hand jewelry, musical instruments, and gems!

Shopping Suggestion: Book lovers should definitely head to The Parade to check the titles sold at the largest independent and family-owned bookstore in the country, Dillons Bookshop.
From fiction staples to non-fiction reference books, this spot is a bookworm’s cloud nine!

Queen Street, Croydon

Queen Street, Croydon
LocationQueen St, Croydon SA 5008

To set the record straight, Queen Street is a misnomer because the shops in this area are technically found on Elizabeth Street, which is a block from Queen Street.

But do as locals do and call this Queen Street to blend in. Besides, the vintage shops and cafes on this street are indeed queenly!

Whenever we visit this small suburb, we check its treasure troves which include Hype and Seek, Her Name Was Nola, Azalea Boutique, and Sage and Clare.

These aforementioned shops sell vintage fashion items, well-designed homewares, and custom-made clothing like leggings, quilted jackets, jacquard robes, and tracksuits. Our most-purchased items here, though, are chic summer tops and floral skirts!

If you’re planning to purchase artful furniture or eccentric gifts, we also recommend having a look at Queen Street’s One Small Room. We visit this place because of the inventive furniture, quirky figurines, and even old movie props!

Shopping Suggestion: We suggest taking home some of the delightful pastries baked at Red Door Bakery. This bakery only sells artisan-baked goods that are always fresh and flavorful.
The expert bakers here also only utilize local, organic, and seasonal ingredients from all across the country.

Adelaide Showground Farmers Market

LocationRose Terrace, Wayville SA 5034

The Adelaide Showground Farmers Market is a vast and dynamic open-air market with local vendors and farmers offering baked goods and garden-fresh products like fruits and veggies. This shopping spot is only open every Sunday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

The stalls where we usually eat pastries here are Barossa Bagels and Butter and Toast because they sell succulent and perfectly flavored baked goods! Our team’s go-to treats in these shops are blueberry bagels and sourdough donuts!

The Adelaide Showground Farmers Market is also ideal for shoppers who are looking for very fresh seafood

We typically get fresh tuna, prawns, and oysters from this market’s fish stalls like Coffin Bay Premium Oysters, The Local Fish, and Dinko tuna.

Whenever our meat and poultry cravings hit, we normally head to 81 Acres Heritage Pork and Lowan Park Produce.

Their bacon, chicken slices, sausages, and fresh pig chops are nitrate and preservative-free, and the flavor and health benefits really make them stand out!

Feasting at the Adelaide Showground Farmers Market is never an issue for us because if we get thirsty, we’ll just proceed to Little Bang Brewing and DJS Garden Fresh Citrus. These stalls provide refreshing drinks like ciders, juices, spirits, and, of course, beers!

Shopping Suggestion: Adelaide Showground Farmers Market is also amazing for vegan shoppers. It has 21 stalls that offer vegan-friendly products like vegan ice cream, pastries, wines, kimchi, coffee, and many more!
