We explored the city to find more of these panorama-packed restos, so if you’re ready to learn more, we’re sharing their locations, special deals, and more below.

Speaking of the savories, our team gobbled their emu egg chawanmushi (Japanese egg custard) with wallaby tea during our visit. We even took this plate a notch by having their caviar drizzled in lemongrass and the saltbush and mountain pepper flatbread.

Tip: Given the restaurant’s popularity, making reservations is a must. In addition, don’t forget to check their Insta for menu updates.

Jolleys Boathouse is an unbeaten hotspot for dinners under the moon or lunches kissed by the sun. This modern Aussie bistro’s rustic wooden decor matches its open, airy space, but it’s the picturesque riverside locale you should prepare your snaps for.

The food doesn’t disappoint, too, especially if you wolf them down on the old-world terrace overlooking the waters and foliage. If you’re gunning for gourmet-styled snacks, their buttered focaccia, potato rosti, and aged beef tartare take the cake.

For the main shows, the Coorong mullet in caviar sauce and the half-roasted Nomad Farm chicken with tarragon chicken jus are terrific choices.

Tip: Night might be a better time to visit if you love soft golden lights and cooler temperatures.

We ordered the truffled cauliflower soup, Western Australian barramundi with smoked mussels, and Coonawarra lamb shoulder—each enriched with local ingredients.

Tip: Don’t forget the restaurant follows a smart casual dress code. Athletic drips are a huge no-no here.

There are two reasons why we always drive down to The Wharf: reimagined classic dishes and Glenelg’s idyllic shoreline views.

Life slows down here, heightening the satisfaction and flavor of bites like marinated duck breast salad. The last time we dropped by, though, it was their spiced pork belly paired with mocha brulee that captivated our taste buds.

We also had plenty of options when it came to liquid courage. Their Aperol spritz, mojito, and amaretto sour cocktails were perfect for the shoreline setting, but wines and vodka also worked like a siren’s charm.

Tip: Don’t forget to check if the restaurant has upcoming events. They often host holiday-centered parties and pizza or cocktail nights.

Drifting on the calm waters of River Torrens and enveloped by healthy trees, the cozy Red Ochre Barrel and Grill is as scenic as they come.

However, it’s their true-blue South Australian servings that grabbed our attention the last time we were here.

We’re talking about dishes like fried crocodiles covered in mint, emu carpaccio flavored with native herbs, and kangaroo filets that popped with native currants.

Their Mediterranean menu is meticulously crafted. Our top pick goes to their seafood linguini, teeming with succulent prawns, tender calamari, and plump mussels.

But if you’re rolling with a date or a crew, go for the packed platters.

The Chef’s Special Platter is the most popular choice—for drool-worthy reasons. It has an assortment of dips, polenta chips, arancini, calamari, chicken wings, feta cheese, and more.
