There’s something romantic in walking on cobblestone footpaths adorned by blooming flowers—and you can do so with your partner at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens!

The pretty-in-pink Nelumbo Pond section of the gardens is one of the best zones to visit. We were blown away by the sacred lotus flowers that seemed to enjoy the mellow sunlight and fresh air.

You and your better half can also stroll in the lush and colorful Dahlia Gardens. We highly suggest taking snaps together while in this garden so you’ll have memorable and cute pics!

The Amazon Water Lily Pond is also a sight to behold! With white Victoria Amazonica Water Lilies floating on crystalline waters and serene surroundings, this spot can make the passionate flames of love grow stronger.

Romantic Tip: The best seasons to take your partner in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens are spring and summer. Flowers look vibrant during these periods.

This historic lighthouse built in 1869 will take you and your partner’s breath away with glimpses of the picturesque city and ocean.

We love how the soft sea breeze seems to lovingly whisper while on top of the lighthouse’s observation deck—and you two will too, we hope!

Romantic picnics will also work at the Port Adelaide Lighthouse.

The scenic view of the horizon can be elevated while sitting on a picnic blanket with delightful treats and drinks. You can even add flower petals to the whole shebang to up the romance.

Aside from all of these, we truly enjoyed taking photos at the Port Adelaide Lighthouse. Its height allows us to capture unique shots of the city’s skyline, and we believe that with the proper angle and timing, your couple pics in this spot will be unforgettable!

Romantic Tip: Go on a date here during sunset or sunrise for a better view of the horizon and city.

Eating at an alluring spot at the start of your day can become the greatest date ever if done right. Luckily, the city of Adelaide has lovely breakfast cafes and restaurants where Cupid’s aim is on-point.

The pastries of Abbots and Kinnney are our jam, and we strongly recommend you add this place to your must-date-here list because of their savory and sweet creations. The treats here also have quirky names that will surely lead to sweet smiles and giggles!

Part Time Lover, as counterintuitive as it may sound, is another cafe where simple brekky dates can turn into sweet core memories.

With richly flavored dishes that are a hundred percent fulfilling, we ensure that your dates here will be hearty (yes, pun intended).

We also cannot go on without mentioning Pippo. With light brown walls and flaxen timber paneling, this lighthearted cafe is a slice—this cafe literally looks like a piece of strawberry cake—of lovers’ paradise.

Romantic Tip: You can put the icing on the romantic cake by surprising your partner with a sentimental gift after you finish your memorable breakfast!

A date that relaxes the body, mind, and spirit is something that you and your partner should try. We advise going to Indica Medispa, as it’s one of the top-rated spa and wellness centers in the entire country.

We enjoyed their different body treatment promos, especially the hot stone and Indica signature massages because of how relaxing they are. Our body and mind were at a deep rest at this place, so we can assure you a date here will result in a stress-free day!

They also have a health and well-being program that has long-term services which help maintain the youthful glow of customers. Surprising your partner with this program is a romantic way of showing that you deeply care about their welfare.

Romantic Tip: Indica Medispa has a Couples Massage Package which lets you relax together with your partner. We recommended picking this instead of choosing the individual packages!

If you and your significant other love art, a date at the Art Gallery of South Australia is something that you should try, as this place boasts magnificent local and international art pieces.

This art gallery has over 47,000 works of art. The ones that caught our attention were the masterpieces crafted and painted by European, Asian, and Aboriginal artists, as they were new to our eyes.

Moreover, with programs that differ from season to season, there’s always going to be a theme or exhibit here that will pique your partner’s interest!

We certainly enjoyed the Andy Warhol and photography tour and art access program last March. It was a one-of-a-kind experience that let us dive deep into the bewildering minds of artists!

Romantic Tip: Find out what type of art best interests your partner and check if the Art Gallery of South Australia has an exhibit that focuses on it. If they do, time to book a visit to this art haven and make your partner fall in love with you more.

This drive-in cinema offers an intimate dating experience through its open-air setting. We put this here instead of other movie houses because the Moonlight Outdoor Cinema offers something that couples on a date will love—privacy.

With your private vehicle acting as your special lounge, you don’t have to worry about typical (and honestly, annoying at times) movie theater shenanigans like noisy movie-goers and people who spoil the fun.

Plus, watching movies under the stars is romance at its peak.

Aside from this, the Moonlight Outdoor Cinema also serves treats from their snack shop that are perfect for dates. If you get hungry or thirsty while watching the classic films they run, you can purchase popcorn, ice cream, sodas, and hot dogs!

Romantic Tip: The food at the Moonlight Outdoor Cinema provides an authentic movie-watching experience, but we would recommend bringing a picnic basket for a more romantic experience.
Also, don’t forget to bring your cameras, as this movie theater offers a great view of the stars too!

A 60 to 90-minute exploration-date in the Adelaide Parklands onboard an eco-bike or eco-caddy tricycle is an adventure that you and your partner may cherish.

The majestic Veale garden full of flowers and lush greenery is a great spot for heartfelt convos and moments.

We also suggest visiting the historical landmarks of the area, which are the Adelaide Oval and Adelaide Festival Center. Our last trip to these grandiose establishments left a lingering sense of wonder in us.

The landscape architecture surrounding the parklands will also catch your attention. From fairytale-like bridges crossing a clear creek to homey cabins under the shade of healthy trees, this private tour date will make your partner fall in love with you more!

Romantic Tip: Don’t rush this tour. Take time to appreciate every corner of the Adelaide Parklands.

Nothing spices up a romantic date more than a glass of immaculate wine—and even better if you make that wine yourselves.

The winemakers of the Penfolds Wine Blending Class in Barossa Valley Cellar Door will let you and your date become winemaking virtuosos for a day.

The Winemaker’s Laboratory is where the magic happens on this date. In this laboratory, you can form an unbreakable bond with your date as you make your own wine from Shiraz, Mourvedre, and Grenache.

The best part about the class is that at the end of the day, you’ll get to bring home the wine you make! We feel really proud and victorious just by looking at the bottle we took home from our visit here!

Romantic Tip: Learn together with your date and don’t try to impress them by studying wine blending in advance. This activity is fun because you’ll get to experience risk-free failures and success as a team!

Love isn’t just in the air; it’s also in the crystal-clear waters of Adelaide. The Dolphin Sanctuary Kayaking Tour will let you unwind with your date as you paddle toward the sea (don’t worry, there will be a guide assigned to you).

You’ll visit mangrove inlets and even shipwrecks along Adelaide’s picture-perfect coastlines. And if Lady Luck is on your side, you’ll even get to see the cute and cuddly bottlenose dolphins right in the heart of Port Adelaide.

Our kayaking tour here also made us learn more about the importance of nature. As you paddle toward the coastlines, the guide will give you a lecture on how the ecosystem works and how we can preserve it for future generations.

Romantic Tip: This tour can get scary at times, so be sure to give assurance to your partner. Always check if they are comfortable or in distress.

With over 70 thrilling obstacles and games that include playing tennis in the sky, mid-air boat-rowing, and picnicking on a sky-high table, MegaClimb is the perfect dating spot for daredevils in love.

We would be bluffing if we say that this adventure park didn’t put our hearts in our mouths because it definitely did—and it was all worth it.

We suggest trying the GiantSwing together with your partner because we think that this is the most thrilling attraction here.

On the GiantSwing, you’ll be strapped to your seat and will be slowly lifted. This ride will make you feel comfortable at first before surprising you with its heart-racing gimmick.

When you’re about 8 meters high, you can revel together with your date in the views of Adelaide’s marvelous coastline and beaches before getting launched through the air at the speed of 70 kilometers per hour!

This frenetic ride is something you’ll remember for years!

Romantic Tip: Always ask your date if they are fine trying out the extreme rides and challenges of MegaClimb.
Dates can put a ton of pressure on some people, and you don’t want to force the apple of your eye into doing something they aren’t comfortable with.

The Adelaide Oval Rooftop challenge is a romantic and exhilarating experience that will take your date to new heights. This challenge will let you climb the world-renowned Adelaide Oval that lies at the heart of Adelaide.

While atop the roof of the Adelaide Oval, take selfies with your date with the unique perspective of the city as your background. We suggest testing every angle while at the rooftop because every direction offers a striking glimpse of the horizon!

If you and your date are feeling extra dauntless, head to the Lean-Out challenge where you’ll lean up and out 50 meters over the field!

Our hearts definitely skipped a beat when we did this, but this experience will surely raise the trust you have for each other. Lovely!

Romantic Tip: Don’t leave until night comes because the view atop the Adelaide Oval becomes more spectacular when it’s the moon’s time to shine!
You can even play your favorite party tunes and witness how the glimmering city lights breathe life into Adelaide!

Who can resist falling madly in love while on a lovely cruise where the blissful setting sun and the paradisal Glenelg Coast are the main attractions?

We dare you to answer this question while sipping your favorite bevies on the magnificent Temptation Twilight Cruise.

It’s an hour-and-a-half catamaran cruise off the Glenelg coast. With a chic and hip vibe that’s ideal for free-spirited lovers, this invigorating voyage is fun, intimate, sexy, and classy.

First impressions last, so we strongly suggest going on this cruise for your first-ever date. It’s the perfect activity to get to know your partner better, and the romantic scenery will definitely sweeten the atmosphere and make you swoon over each other in no time.

Romantic Tip: The most romantic spot of the cruise is definitely the stern, as it’s more private and less crowded. This area is the best for intimate conversations and sightseeing.
