Angelakis Brothers is a household name in Adelaide, with several seafood stalls in Glenside, Stirling, and Adelaide Central Market.

This family company has been around since the 1960s, and their tender Australian king

prawns and fat, sweet oysters are their main ingredients for success.

Their menu’s star is kingfish filet, savory and salty cuts that will transport you to the Mediterranean with every bite. The store’s prawn skewers are also packed with exotic Thai spices, bursting with earthy, fragrant, and peppery flavors.

Furthermore, Angelakis Brothers’ briny and sweet southern rock and western lobsters are worth every penny ($50 to $90 per kg), especially if you dip it in their sweet and herby seafood cocktail sauce!

Tips:

  • You can ask their staff what recipe suits your order best. Some recipes we learned from Angelakis Brothers include pan-fried kingfish with chili sauce and seared Australian scallops with pea risotto.
  • You should also try their new menu of ready-to-eat products, including poke bowls, sashimi, and more, making them the go-to meals for seafood enthusiasts seeking quality and variety.
  • Our team’s favorite is their marinated octopus tentacles, as it’s tender, conveniently packed, and easy to prepare. This product is predominantly sweet, balanced with savory and tangy notes.

Our team’s go-to seafood delight at The Fish Factory is their baby red snappers, succulent fish with a delightful hint of hooking sweetness. Their smoked salmon is also terrific, particularly for buyers who adore naturally oily and soft fish!

We also must mention their yabbies. Tender and juicy, they offer a buttery richness perfect for happy hour or a hearty dinner with the fam.

In addition, their South Australian crays are cheaper alternatives to southern rock lobsters. But if you don’t like the former’s slightly “muddy” taste, we suggest the lobsters boasting a sweeter and cleaner flavor.

Tip: The Fish Factory’s website offers exceptional seafood recipes for new dishes. Some of our team’s favorites include Mediterranean-style bbq snapper and oven-baked kingfish!

King prawns are also in demand in the market, so you better be quick and early if you want juicy prawns for lunch.
