A Decor Devotee’s Picks for Carpet Installation in Adelaide

Experience. Having a long career in installing carpets is a great sign of good quality for us. Similarly, it’s also important to have staff that is professional and pleasant to work with.

Range of products. It’s important for the carpets to be varying in design and material. They must also offer many brands to give clients plenty of choices.

Fairness of fees. We prefer companies with reasonable rates both for the carpet itself and for the installation fees.

Responsiveness. Finally, it’s important for us that they respond quickly to phone calls and emails.

Pros

  • More than 80 years of experience
  • Extensive list of products offered
  • Spotless installations
  • Professional representatives

Cons

  • Pricey rates
  • Late for installations for some clients

Floors-2-Go SA has more than 80 years of experience in the business. We praise them for their professionalism from the start to the end of our transaction with them.

Their representatives were very helpful when we visited their showroom. We felt their knowledge and experience with how well they helped us choose the best material and price for our carpet.

Speaking of their carpets, they have an extensive list of products. They provide many colors, styles, and materials.

In addition, their installation service was hassle-free. We didn’t encounter any issues from requesting an initial quote to the actual date of installation.

The result of their installation was spotless, which proved their skill to us. They were also great with providing us tips to prolong the carpet’s lifespan.

If there’s anything we didn’t like about them, one is that their carpets are a bit pricier than others.

Aside from this, some clients said that the company’s representatives arrived late during their date of installation.

Pros

  • Well-made website
  • Has many styles offered
  • Great for commercial properties
  • Professional staff

Cons

  • Pricey rates for residential properties
  • Has received complaints about hidden fees

Carpet One is a great company if you want a wide range of styles for your carpet. Their products can match almost any interior plan, as they have styles like modern, contemporary, Bohemian, traditional, and more.

We also appreciate how easy it is to browse their catalog through their website. A complete list of their offerings along with comprehensive product descriptions can be seen here.

Speaking of convenience, it was a breeze to contact them for initial measurements and quotes. We did it through their website, which has a very user-friendly design.

One of their strengths is in providing carpeting for commercial purposes. Their fees for large properties are just right.

They also have a good track record of working for different industries, such as hospitality, retail, and logistics. Many of the clients we talked to praised their staff’s professionalism.

However, they’re not the best choice for residential properties if you have a limited budget.

Aside from this, some clients said that the fees for their products weren’t properly explained to them. Some said that the company charged hidden fees.

Pros

  • Affordable rates
  • Well-stocked shops
  • Has pet-friendly and environmentally-safe products
  • Great at coordinating schedule of installation

Cons

  • Shops aren’t organized
  • Limited styles

McLeay Carpets has some of the most affordable rates we’ve seen. Their bulk stores have many offerings that have great prices.

They have two well-stocked stores, one in Glen Osmond and one on Regency Road. They offer great brands including Feltex, Redbook, and Tuftmaster.

What makes their products great for different clients is that some are made pet-friendly and environmentally safe. If you have furry friends at your home, their products are good for you.

According to the clients we talked to, they’re great at coordinating a schedule for the installation. They also match their initial quotes, which we appreciate.

The shop is also a great option for commercial spaces because its carpets are more affordable when bought in bulk. From what we’ve seen, they install carpets spotlessly too.

A minor downside we noticed with them is that both of their shops aren’t well-organized. It’s great that their representatives were adept in guiding us through their products, though.

Aside from this, the carpet styles they have are a bit limited compared to other carpet installers in Adelaide.

Pros

  • Has been in operation since 1995
  • Has many styles for carpets
  • Website is helpful
  • Good for commercial properties

Cons

  • Pricey rates
  • Slow response to follow-up repairs

Modern Floors has been around since 1995, and we definitely saw how experienced they are through their responses to our inquiry. They were straight to the point and never pushy.

We like how well they guided us depending on our style preferences. They’re great with advising the best product based on your property type too.

Their website is especially helpful in advising whether to buy a multi-level, plush, loop, or twist carpet. Here, we sent a message their way and received a reply within the same day.

Many clients praised them for being easy to coordinate with for large-scale projects like renovations and commercial carpeting. They follow schedules and deadlines well.

Aside from carpeting, they also have a broad range of flooring products offered. It’s why they’re great if you’ll need a full floor revamp for your property.

However, we’re just disappointed that their rates are quite high. We advise you to check their special offers to save money.

Another downside, according to some of their clients, is that they don’t provide follow-up repairs fast.

Pros

  • Showroom is well-organized
  • Has great carpet styles and features provided
  • Professional installers
  • Has mobile showroom service

Cons

  • Pricey rates
  • Unsatisfactory responses to complaints

Floors Direct has one of the best showrooms we’ve seen. Sorting through their selections and designs is easy, as every carpet is laid out well.

We especially appreciate how well they guided us through their different products. They’re great at finding materials and colors to match the interior design ideas we had.

In addition, they provide carpets made with additional features such as heat insulation and noise reduction.

Many of the clients we talked to praised their installers for being highly professional during their visit. They attend on time, and their work is spotless.

We also appreciate their mobile showroom services which make it easy to see if the carpet matches your property. It’s easy to book this because they’re responsive to calls.

There are just a couple of downsides we’ve seen with them. First, their carpets are pricier compared to other shops in Adelaide.

Another downside is that some of their responses to complaints were unsatisfactory. For example, one client had his carpeting issue fixed only after 6 months of emailing them.
