Pros

  • Has a good location
  • Well-designed clinic
  • Good for low-pain-tolerance patients
  • Processes insurances well

Cons

  • Highly in-demand

Adelaide City Dental Care has a very convenient location at the heart of the Adelaide CBD. It’s easy to access via train and is near the Rundle Mall tram stop.

The convenience extends to the interiors of the clinic. It has a serene ambiance highlighted by its view of King William St.

Its adequate parking spaces are also a plus.

We like their approach to dentistry which focuses on prevention to lessen your costs in the long run. They’re equipped for all major dental works, from implants to surgery.

If you have low pain tolerance, the clinic is a good choice. This is because they ensure that every treatment will be as pain-free as possible, both through anesthetics and music.

Payment is a breeze with them. If you’re eligible, you may file same-day claims for Health Industry Claims and Payments Service (HICAP).

They’re part of the Medicare Child Dental Benefit Scheme, too.

The clinic is active in the community through their support of various organizations such as the Port Adelaide Football Club and East Timor Dental Volunteers.

In fact, the clinic is designed with artworks coming from local artists under Décor Dreams Gallery.

Their head dentist, Dr. Michelle Stone, is notable for her expertise in general dentistry and osseointegration. Her knowledge is kept up-to-date through her continuing education.

Overall, we highly recommend the clinic. The only minor downside we see is that they are high in demand, meaning that you will have to schedule in advance to get a sure slot.

Pros

  • Complete range of service
  • Good dentist qualification
  • Provides additional cosmetic services
  • Has a sleep apnea treatment plan

Cons

  • Pricey

City Central Dental stands out because of the good qualifications of their dentists. They have many years of experience.

Their range of expertise is broad and includes preventative, cosmetic, endodontics, and restorative dentistry. Because of this, they can handle most cases well.

Many clients also compliment their dentists for being friendly and accommodating. Additionally, they pursue long-term professional relationships with clients, which is always a plus.

Their list of offered services is complete, making them a good one-stop if you have multiple dental needs. Notably, a unique offering they have is sleep apnea treatment.

Their treatment for this uses oral appliances to help in reducing obstruction for those suffering from snoring and sleep disruption issues.

The clinic also goes the next step in providing cosmetic services, as they can administer cosmetic injectables and dermal fillers for frown lines, gummy lines, smoker lines, and more.

Insurance processing is one of their strengths. They’re connected with almost all major providers, and they process the paperwork for this seamlessly too.

Parents will also save more with the Teen Dental Plan they have, which makes their services much more affordable.

In conclusion, they have one of the most complete lists of services, qualifications, and equipment we’ve seen. So far, the only downside we see is that their prices are quite high.

Because of this, be sure to have sufficient insurance to cover your treatments.

Pros

  • Has many packages
  • Fully equiped
  • Great clinic ambiance and design
  • Good dentist qualifications

Cons

  • Has received complaints about customer service

Dental Excellence is a great option for those on a budget, as they offer affordable packages. This includes one for new patients and for teeth whitening.

Upon entering the clinic, you can immediately notice the extra effort they put in providing a calm ambiance. This greatly helps in making you feel more comfortable and at ease.

In addition, the rooms also have WiFi, in-chair entertainment, and designs that make waiting more bearable for children.

The team is led by Dr. Renu Karn, who has many years of experience and is active in providing dental training and professional development education.

Equipment is also not an issue with them, as they go the extra mile for this.

First, they have complete intraoral camera sets, which allow for better planning of the treatment to be done. Additionally, it allows you to see the condition of your teeth better.

Another aspect is their X-ray technology, which gives a low-radiation panoramic view of your jaw. Because of this, you won’t have to get referrals and go to another clinic.

A highlight is their Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure, which is very effective for gum and bone diseases. It’s gentle yet effective and has minimal side effects.

Safety and cleanliness are ensured with them, as they follow the standards set by the Australian Dental Association and National Safety and Quality in Health Service.

All things considered, a downside you may want to watch out for is that they’ve received complaints about their customer service.

Specifically, some clients had their appointments canceled without notice or had negative experiences when talking with their representatives.

Pros

  • Great customer service
  • Processes insurance well
  • Highly qualified staff
  • Well-made booking tool

Cons

  • Pricey fees

YES Dentistry’s strength lies in their great customer service. From your first call to your appointment day, their representatives are always responsive and friendly.

Many clients appreciate how they always ensure your comfort throughout your dental session. Specifically, they make sure to adjust based on pain preference, which is important.

You won’t have a lot of issues with funding, as they’re preferred health fund providers under Bupa and Hospitals Contribution Fund of Australia.

Their dentists, hygienists, and supporting staff have many years of experience. Particularly, their dentists have expertise in cosmetic, prosthodontic, preventative, and restorative dentistry.

One of our favorite aspects is their booking tool. Here, choosing a date and time is a breeze.

Many also like the quality of their fillings, teeth crowns, and braces. For braces, they specialize in using Smilefast, which gives results in less than a year.

With them, you will receive the best transparency in pricing. They’re upfront about this during initial calls, and their price list is also available on their website.

With all of this, the clinic is a great choice. If there’s a downside to consider, though, it’s that their fees can be high when compared to other clinics.

This is especially for their brace and implant services.

Pros

  • Accessible location
  • Complete range of service
  • Relaxing clinic design
  • Open on weekends

Cons

  • Has complaints regarding dentist’s professionalism

Dental Care on Pulteney was established in 2005 and is well-known in Adelaide because of their accessible location in the CBD.

Their dedication to providing a relaxing environment can easily be seen in their clinic. Additionally, their receptionists are friendly, which helps in easing any pre-treatment anxieties.

They provide complete dental services, from whitening to veneers, cleaning, and more. Because of this, you can have any dental issue fixed.

Notably, the clinic is open even on weekends. This makes them a convenient choice for those busy during workdays.

To add to the convenience, their booking tool is also very easy to use. Choosing your dentist is also possible here, giving you the chance to choose your preferred one.

Dr. Khuong Pho, their principal dentist, is notable for his expertise in oral surgery and restorative dentistry. He’s also an active member of the Australian Dental Association.

The clinic’s teeth whitening services are advanced because of their use of EMS AIRFLOW and Guided Biofilm Therapy.

EMS airflow provides faster whitening compared to traditional methods, while guided Biofilm Therapy helps by removing dental bacteria. Both of these give quick and long-lasting results.

With all of this, the clinic is a good option for all dental issues you have. But if there’s a downside, it’s that their dentists received complaints of being unprofessional.

Specifically, some said that they weren’t able to explain the treatments properly and weren’t responsive to inquiries.
