Pros

  • More than 30 years of experience
  • Familiar with many ritual cultures
  • Has many venues
  • Many services provided

Cons

  • Pricey services, especially if purchased individually
  • Audio and video quality issues for live stream

Fulham Funerals has more than 30 years of experience, and they’re notable for being familiar with Islamic, Hindu, and Christian funeral rites.

Their expertise is further seen in how they conduct overseas and interstate arrangements. They’re easy to communicate with because of their streamlined process.

With them, you can get access to many venues. These include chapels in Underdale, Centennial Park, Port Adelaide, and Elizabeth East, along with an outdoor funeral anywhere on Kangaroo Island.

We also like how abundant their offerings for additional services are. They include catering, floral tributes, memorial stationery, and live online streaming.

Furthermore, they’re highly transparent with their complete fees. They provide many package options too.

If there’s anything we didn’t like, it’s that the fees for their services can be pricey. It’s especially so if you’ll avail of only a few of their services instead of a package.

Aside from this, some found their online live streaming to be of low quality in terms of video and audio.

Pros

  • More than 60 years of experience
  • Easy to pay
  • Great in coordinating with clients
  • Flexible venues

Cons

  • Takes some time to answer calls and emails
  • Limited number of venues

Peter Elberg Funerals has more than 60 years of experience. They’re known for providing prepaid plans with fixed prices, which simplifies the payment process for clients.

Their plans can be arranged to be reduced from your pension. This is done in collaboration with Foresters Financial.

We like how they conduct appointments for planning the funeral service with you. They’re great at explaining funeral arrangements, paperwork, and more.

Their venues are flexible depending on your budget and the number of expected guests. These have state-of-the-art designs and come with full catering.

Moreover, their team has great qualifications in terms of overall industry experience. We find them great at communicating and handling emotional clients too.

If there’s a downside to them, it’s that they may take some time to answer phone calls and emails.

Aside from this, the number of venues they provide is limited compared to other funeral homes.

Pros

  • Affordable rates
  • Has many services provided
  • Elegantly designed chapel
  • Additional services are priced reasonably

Cons

  • Only has 1 chapel
  • Limited choice of packages

Sensible Funerals, as their name implies, emphasizes a simple and dignified way of conducting funerals.

This is best seen in the affordable rates they provide clients. Even with the low costs, the inclusions of their packages are plentiful.

For example, their burial and funeral packages include silk flowers, a casket, and the transfer of the deceased.

Those who may want additional services such as death notices, medical certificates, memorial cards, and live streams are given reasonable fees.

Plus their chapel has an elegant contemporary design complete with LCD screens, an outdoor garden accentuated with a waterfall, and good ventilation.

If there’s anything we didn’t like about them, it’s that they only have one chapel available.

Aside from this, the choices for the casket of their packages are limited to two: Rosewood or Arctic White.

Pros

  • Has been around since 1975
  • Comprehensive services for standard package
  • Accessible location
  • Well-designed chapel

Cons

  • Representatives aren’t great at client collaboration
  • Limited services

Ivan Butler Funerals has been a well-established funeral home since 1975. This is seen in their expertise in explaining the necessities of the funeral service.

We like their standard funeral service offering, as it has complete inclusions. From musicians and hygienic preparations to chapel viewing, everything important is covered.

Another strength of the funeral home is their accessible location on Klemzig Road. It’s spacious, well-maintained, and tranquil.

Their online streaming services are well-done because of their great audio and video quality. Information about time zones, entrance PINS, and the like is well-explained.

You may be glad to know that their fees are reasonable and flexible depending on your needs. Their directors are easy to communicate with about budget matters.

That said, one thing we didn’t like is that some clients found their representatives dismissive of their recommendations about how the rites should be conducted.

Another thing is that the range of additional services they provide is more limited compared to other funeral homes.

Pros

  • More than 80 years of experience
  • Courteous and professional representatives
  • Plentiful services
  • Prestigious funeral vehicles

Cons

  • Limited number of venus
  • Fees are high

Charles Berry & Son Pty Ltd has more than 80 years of experience, giving them a solid advantage over other funeral homes in Adelaide.

We’re glad to have seen their courteousness and professionalism in handling funeral arrangements. They make sure to always be responsive and transparent with you.

In addition, the services they provide are plentiful. They have both the essentials and extra features, such as lounge areas, DVD presentations, and a license to serve alcohol.

A highlight is their prestigious funeral vehicle fleet, which includes classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Their chapel is also one of the best-designed we’ve seen.

Another benefit you may get when you choose them is they’re great at coordinating interstate and overseas transport. In line with this, they’re experienced with handling funeral rites for different cultures.

However, a downside is that the number of venues they provide is limited. Still, the ones they have include well-equipped facilities and parking, which makes them still recommendable.

Aside from this, their fees are a bit high compared to other funeral homes in Adelaide.
