Pros
- Great track
- Top-notch go-karts
- Safe space for beginners
- Race data sent after sessions
Cons
- Ungracious staff
- Located outside Adelaide Metro
- Difficult to find bookings
If you ask people around which place you shouldn’t miss out on for go-karting in Adelaide, The Bend Kartdrome is surely one of them.
The layout of the track is ideal, with a decent straight section, some sharp turns, and some full-speed turns.
Even for experienced racers, the course and karts present a challenge. So you are assured to have a thrilling experience on their track.
Their karts have good acceleration and top out at close to 70 kilometres per hour. They also have good handling and braking.
We find that their go-karting experience is a safe space for beginners. The guidelines are very clear, and the pre-briefing is very thorough.
After every ride, we appreciate how they send out your personal race data via email. This is especially useful if you are aiming to improve or beat a personal record.
Unfortunately, many clients complained that the staff members were unkind and ungracious, even going so far as to suggest that they badly needed customer service training.
Another downside that we saw is that their track is located outside Adelaide Metro. It can be a hassle for people to reach the place.
On top of this, it can be difficult to secure your booking appointment because of how many people frequent their tracks.

Pros
- Well-kept facility
- Spacious recreational hub
- Great kart models
- Great for kids parties
Cons
- Some karts are faulty
- Some machines need maintenance
- Strict supervision from staff
We had to look into the spacious recreational hub that is Mega Fast Karts that offers not only an exhilarating go-kart experience but also laser tag skirmishes and unlimited games in their arcade.
As you enter the premises, you will see that the main foyer, the front of the building, and the doorway are all tidy and well-stocked with amenities.
And despite being an indoor track, there isn’t a strong rubber or gasoline smell when you get to the track.
If you’re itching for an adrenaline rush, they use some of the fastest karts available, the Honda GX270, which has 9 horsepower.
A few people spun off or crashed, and staff members had them back on the track in no time. Compared to other tracks we’ve seen, they have demonstrated a really quick response.
Despite it being marketed as a multipurpose recreation hub, however, most of the games in the arcade aren’t working properly and some had issues with their laser tag. So if you plan to avail of their package deals, you may want to keep this in mind.
We’d say that Mega Fast Karts can bring lots of fun and they have a nice layout. We simply wish some of the karts were more efficient in driving through the tracks; it takes the fun out of racing when your kart fails.
Some also felt that the unnecessary level of strict supervision by the staff can limit the fun that you can have.
Nevertheless, we highly recommend them if you are looking for a place where your kids can have a fun and exciting go-kart experience and party with their friends!

Pros
- Electric go-karts
- Indoor track
- Well-kept facilities
- Fun-loving staff
- Caters well to kids
Cons
- Smaller track
- Track surface can be slippery
OZ-E Karts in Adelaide is one of the first to utilize fully electric karts and state-of-the-art safety barrier technologies in their indoor track.
They use electric karts with cutting-edge solar panel technology and electric racing technology to provide an environmentally friendly experience all around.
To be more specific, their karts produce no fumes or emissions and do not roar like other karts.
No weather forecast will rain on your parade because the OZ-E Karts course is specifically made for indoor racing, measuring about 188 meters.
The venue is also expertly managed and efficiently organized by their staff.
We can’t stress enough how we appreciate their fun-loving staff. A client even mentioned how some staff members can hop in a kart and give racers a run for their money when there are few people on the track.
The track surface, however, has a huge impact on the experience. It’s quite slippery because it’s painted concrete and epoxy-coated.
On top of this, because the tyres of the karts are hard, their traction against the track surface suffers. It would help if they lubricated their tyres with silicone.
The track is also small compared to other places. And because there aren’t many alternate routes due to the congested design, there is little to no room for overtaking.
Nevertheless, OZ-E Karts’ sustainable practices along with their top-notch customer service are something you should try! An added tip: they are great at catering to kids; they even have a Junior Kart Race.

Pros
- Offers simulated racing
- More than 25 years in the industry
- Fully outdoor facility
- High-speed karts
- Great social events
Cons
- Several instances where the gear was faulty
- Tracks aren’t well-maintained in between appointments
You can be sure to have a blast in Pro Karts Pooraka when you visit their facility because they have more than 25 years of experience in the Adelaide rental karting business.
You will also not be exposed to any of the petrol fumes associated with indoor racing centres because this is the only entirely outdoor go-kart racing facility in close proximity to the Adelaide CBD.
We love how there is something for everyone here, whether you want to take it easy or compete in a Grand Prix-style race.
Their high-speed karts are some of the best, clocking out at 70 km/h!
We especially enjoy their cutting-edge simulators that will immerse you in the adrenaline rush and exhilaration of racing on tracks in some of the most realistically replicated virtual models of genuine race cars.
What we don’t like, however, is how some of their karts are faulty. A few customers have complained about having to change karts twice because of erratic and sticky throttles throughout their race.
The tracks are also not well-maintained. The tyre walls were disintegrating, with pieces lying all over the track, making the surface a little shaky.
Nevertheless, this is a great place for both novice and seasoned drivers. We recommend visiting on a Tuesday or Thursday for a social racing night.
5. Kartmania

Pros
- Promos with laser tag
- Great for groups
- Commendable customer service
- Largest track in Adelaide
- Well-maintained karts
Cons
- Not child-friendly
- Walk-ins aren’t encouraged
Kartmania’s 600-meter track is unmatched in Adelaide Metro. With 14 bends and karts capable of 65 km/h, it is a challenging yet enjoyable circuit.
To make sure that seasoned racers have a challenge, their circuit has a banked corner created in the style of NASCAR.
The fact that their track has both an indoor and an outdoor segment is brilliant. In the event of rain, they can turn their track into a fully indoor setup.
We’d say that this is an ideal place for you to go to with a group of friends. They offer Grand Prix and Enduro Packages that can accommodate up to 48 drivers!
After your race, you may fancy duking it out in their laser tag arena. What’s great about it is you can avail of their go-kart and laser tag bundle too.
From start to finish, you will be well taken care of. Their clients can attest to their dedication to bringing excellent customer service.
What we don’t appreciate is that their track, especially on a packed day, is not children-friendly. The high-octane riders are not sufficiently monitored to make it a safe space for those riding with kids.
Also, a lot of clients were told that a reservation wasn’t necessary and that they may come in at any time. However, we would suggest insisting on making a reservation since groups of people tend to frequent the tracks.
Looking past these, we highly recommend Kartmania if you plan on going out and racing with your best mates on the largest track in Adelaide Metro.
