Pros

  • Highly qualified podiatrist
  • Holistic healing method
  • Highly streamlined booking process
  • Good for aesthetic services

Cons

  • Often fully booked
  • May take some time to answer email inquiries

East Adelaide Podiatry is led by highly-qualified podiatrist Anna McIntosh. Starting in 1992, she has provided clinical work for many major hospitals and remote communities in Australia.

This includes Lyell McEwin Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital, and Repatriation General Hospital.

With 30 years of experience, she has mastered physical podiatry and rehabilitation, making her a good option.

In addition, she aims for holistic healing that takes into consideration various aspects of health. These include body weight, diet, and lifestyle to address podiatric issues.

The clinic is affiliated with Australia’s Podiatry Association, Podiatry Board, and the Australian Academy of Podiatry for Sports Medicine.

You can get access to KeryFlex technology with them. This is an effective and quick-acting nail restoration technology that’s good for aesthetic purposes.

We found their booking session to be highly streamlined and easy to use. Choosing a service, appointment date, and time and inserting contact details are easy.

In addition, they confirm appointments quickly. They don’t have any issues with sudden cancellations, either.

It also helps that Dr. Anna is praised by many clients for being energetic and warm. She’s very responsive to questions and always makes sure that you’re comfortable.

With all that being said, a downside is that their staff is limited. Because of this, they’re often booked weeks in advance.

Aside from this, it may also make them take longer to answer some of your inquiries when emailing.

Pros

  • Has four podiatrists
  • More than 40 years of collective experience
  • Convenient location
  • Well-designed clinic

Cons

  • Irregular opening hours
  • Pricey fees

Posture Podiatry has a bigger staff than other clinics, with four podiatrists. Collectively, they have more than 40 years of experience, making them highly qualified.

Their professionals are all Board-registered and certified. They have many regulars from sports clubs, Olympic athletes, and dance theater members, too.

You can get a free second opinion with them without any extra fees. In addition, they’re not pushy with their service.

Their clinic’s location is highly convenient, as they’re on the North Terrace, which is a few kilometers away from the city. It’s near bus stops and has less traffic.

We like how comfortable their waiting rooms are because of their cleanliness and simple design. They also provide music, toys for kids, tea, and coffee.

Payment is convenient with them, as their payment plans are flexible. They quickly process HICAPS for those qualified for it.

Furthermore, their services have a wide variety and are suitable for all ages. It matches different lifestyles, too, may it be athletic, sedentary, and more.

A highlight treatment of theirs is the Posture Analysis, which offers a long-lasting way of preventing lower limb damage brought by unnecessary stress.

It’s easy to book their service because of their well-made website. You’ll find choosing a service and date a breeze.

Overall, they’re an excellent choice. One downside, however, is that their fees are higher compared to other clinics.

Also, their operating hours are irregular, making it potentially confusing for new patients.

Pros

  • Uses advanced technology
  • More than 15 years of experience
  • Can extend opening hours
  • Has two clinics

Cons

  • Gap free assessments are limited to three per week
  • Waiting rooms are small

Adelaide Heel Pain Clinic is the best choice for heel spurs, Achilles tendon injuries, and Sever’s disease. They specialize in these and have dedicated years to treat these.

Founded in 2002, the clinic has a well-trained staff provided with much training and knowledge in podiatry.

Additionally, they’re members of and are recognized by reputable organizations like Sports Medicine Australia, Australian Podiatry Council, and more.

You can get access to the latest technology with them, which gives more accurate testing results and treatments.

Specifically, this is used for gait analysis, 3D scanning for orthotic devices, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy. They provide wart treatment, too.

They’re the only clinic to have a Focal Shockwave Machine. This can be used as an excellent treatment for musculoskeletal issues.

Additionally, they can extend their hours and open on Saturdays in case this is your only available schedule. Because of this, they’re a good choice for those busy on weekdays.

To add to your convenience, they have two clinics: one on Fullarton Road and one on Melbourne Street.

Another highlight is their fast booking tool. The information you can input is complete, including duration, specific treatment, branch to visit, and more.

From what we’ve seen, the only downside to them is that their gap-free assessments are only limited to three per week.

Also, we think that their clinics are a bit small, making waiting harder, especially for children.

Pros

  • Large team
  • Expertise in various fields of podiatry
  • Renders 30 hours annually for learning new techniques
  • Easy booking process

Cons

  • Usually fully-booked
  • Irregular schedule

AC Podiatry has one of the largest teams we’ve seen, with five podiatrists and six staff members for administrative tasks.

Because of their team size, they can handle many patients at once. In addition, waiting times and inquiries are shorter, as more people are available.

Andrea Castello, their proprietor, is notable for his decades of experience. He also has particular medical skills in pediatric, sports, and biomechanical podiatry.

Their other podiatrists are also excellent in treating delayed onset muscle soreness, administering rehabilitation, and strength and conditioning.

It also helps that all of them have a background in either yoga or sports. They incorporate their knowledge here to provide holistic treatment plans for clients.

The podiatrists continue their education yearly by providing a minimum of 30 hours for learning new techniques. Through this, the quality of their treatments is ensured.

They’re convenient for many clients, as they have five branches. These are in Adelaide CBD, Magill, Malvern, Modbury, and Oakden Medical Center.

Finally, booking with them is a breeze. Their website has a good design for this, and the process is streamlined.

We highly recommend the clinic, but if there’s a caveat to take note of, it’s that their clinics are usually fully-booked.

Along with this is the fact that their schedule is irregular. They are closed on Thursdays and weekends.

Pros

  • Highly qualified podiatrists
  • Expertise in reconstructive surgery and musculoskeletal injuries
  • Has three branches
  • Branches are wheelchair accessible and disability-friendly

Cons

  • Limited podiatrists
  • Has issues with billing miscommunication

Prospect Podiatry is recommendable because of the qualifications of their podiatrists.

One of them is Andrew van Essen, who has great expertise in reconstructive surgery. This makes him adept in treating neuromas, hammertoes, and bunions

In addition, he’s active in providing guest lectures to students of surgery and biomechanics. He has worked overseas, such as in Japan and Vietnam.

Their other podiatrist is Jessica Ngo, who specializes in treating infections brought by ingrown toenails.

She’s also an expert in musculoskeletal injuries and adjunctive treatments.

She’s complimented by many clients for her caring professional attitude. In addition, she provides holistic treatment plans.

Convenience isn’t an issue with them, as they have multiple branches. These include ones in Prospect, Sterling, and Darwin.

These branches are wheelchair accessible and have disability parking. This makes them excellent for handling all patients.

We think that they’re a good choice for most podiatric issues, but an issue we found is that some clients experienced billing miscommunications with their staff.

Another thing is that their podiatrists are limited compared to other clinics. This makes them quickly fully booked.
