Blackwood Florist is one of the oldest-running flower shops in Adelaide, having been established in the early 1980s. The shop owner’s decade-long experience in flower arrangements makes this shop one of the best places to get wedding flowers.

What we love about this shop is how vast their designs and styles are for their wedding events. They can make bouquets, cake flowers, corsages, buttonholes, table centrepieces, and pedestal arrangements.

They can use whatever flower you want, as long as it’s in season. Just tell them what flowers you want and the theme you’re going for, and they’ll do it for you.

We also love that they provide an option for artificial flowers in case there are certain pieces that you want to preserve.

We’re just disappointed that we didn’t receive the same arrangement that we asked for when we ordered online. While the bouquet wasn’t for a wedding, we’re afraid that the same thing may happen to those who want wedding flowers.

The communication system was also not the best. We weren’t informed that the flowers we wanted were unavailable, so they couldn’t make the arrangement we wanted.

It would’ve been better if they had messaged us first and asked how we wanted to proceed with the flowers. We believe this is the better option, especially for wedding flowers since they’re for an important event.

On the bright side, though, they offer some of the best-priced flowers in the state. The flowers aren’t that expensive, but they’re of high quality.

When it comes to customer service, no one does it better than Adelaide Flower House. From the consultation to the delivery of the flowers, the staff are nothing but sweet and accommodating.

They adjust their own timelines to accommodate the customers and make the entire process easier.

Connie, the shop’s owner, provides a lot of helpful insights when planning for the bouquet and centrepieces to be used in the wedding. Her suggestions make the entire planning process a lot less stressful.

They also have a lot of experience when dealing with big events like weddings, so they know the dos and don’ts.

The flowers they use for their arrangements include roses, lilacs, dahlias, peonies, orchids, and more. You can also specifically ask for flowers during consultations.

Aside from their customer service, we also love how serious they are with details. They make sure that they get the clients’ wishes down to the smallest detail so many of the flowers come out the way the clients want them to.

The only downside is their services are quite expensive. They charge more than most flower shops in Adelaide, so you may want to ask for their rates first.

Many of their former clients, though, believe the flowers they received on the wedding day were worth the price. Even we, who just ordered a simple bouquet, felt happy with the arrangement.

The only thing we weren’t happy about was how fast the flowers died. They wilted in just a little over a day despite being stored properly.

Our favourite thing about this shop is it’s open 7 days a week, which is very important for clients planning their wedding.

Wedding preparation can be hectic, so it’s great that they can drop by the shop anytime their schedule permits.

However, if you want to hire their services, make sure to send an inquiry as soon as possible. They can be very busy, and you might lose your chance if their schedule is packed.

Another thing we love about them is their wide design and style selection. Not only do they produce bouquets, but they also do a lot of wearable flowers and centrepieces.

As for the designs, they focus more on colour tones than the variety of flowers. This makes it easier for them to match the event’s theme and not worry about certain flowers being unavailable due to season changes.

We just didn’t like that some of their flowers wilted fast. We ordered their luxe flowers hoping that they’ll last longer, but they only lasted for 2 days.

Floral Atelier is headed by Natasha Bezverkha, who is a certified florist. She has a Certificate III in Floristry, so it’s not hard to understand how she’s able to produce some of the best bouquets in Adelaide.

What really impressed us about Floral Atelier is its extensive experience in handling big events. They’ve supplied flowers for weddings with 100–250 guests, engagement parties, proposals, birthday parties, cocktail parties, and a lot more.

Their background in these events and the kind words from their former clients assure us they’re reliable with flower arrangements and delivery.

We also love how much of a perfectionist Natasha is when it comes to arrangements. She takes the clients’ opinions seriously and does her best to make their vision come true.

The only thing we’re not happy about was the instances when delivery instructions were not followed properly.

They once sent the flowers earlier than asked, so they were not in the best condition by the day of the event.

They can also be quite expensive, so prepare to spend a bit more.

Chill Flowers specialises in contemporary and timeless floral arrangements, so they’re best for people preparing traditional and classic weddings.

Each of their bouquet arrangements has the right amount of colour to make them beautiful but not too much to make them too bold for formal events.

What we love most about Chill Flowers is their great customer service. Nothing is too big or too small, and the staff are always ready to help.

They immediately assisted us when we visited their shop and were very friendly as we looked over their flowers. They were also always ready to answer our questions, so we were able to learn a lot.

We just hope they can be more attentive with the bouquets too. There were instances when they made mistakes in calculating the flowers, which caused them to overcharge some customers.

This is quite important since their bouquets are a bit more expensive compared to other shops we visited.

On a much lighter note, you can always try contacting the shop for some last-minute bridal bouquet orders. They’ve accepted a couple of last-minute orders, and they’ll be more than willing to accept your if their time permits.
