Rush Karaoke
Address: Level 2/30 Bank St
Contact Details: 0404 263 757
Operating Hours:
- Tue to Thu – 6 pm to 12 am
- Fri to Sat – 6 pm to 3 am
- Sun – 6 pm to 12 am
With 9 rooms charging 10 to 12 bucks by the hour, Rush Karaoke is your ticket to fame that doesn’t cost a fortune.
The said rooms aren’t too shabby either. Decked out with light-up tambourines, crisp surround sound, and glitzy neon lights, singing here will make you feel like you paid a more expensive price.
For the drinks, they boast a strong list of local and international beers that will surely give you the courage to try challenging bops with gusto. But if you’re rolling with a group, a bottle of Jack Daniels could just be the thing to loosen up those vocal chords.
Tip: Don’t forget to bring your ID. Rush Karaoke’s entrance fee is cheaper for students!
La Sing Karaoke Bar
Address: 261 Gouger St
Contact Details: (08) 8211 7332
Operating Hours:
- Wed to Thu – 9 pm to 3 am
- Fri to Sat – 9 pm to 4 am
- Sun – 9 pm to 3 pm
Free entry until 11 pm, La Sing Karaoke gave us the chance to save our cash for the mic drop moments.
It’s a quintessential karaoke bar, with dim lighting, trippy neon signs, ice-cold beer, and night owls rocking and rolling when everywhere else shuts down. The singing platform is also shared, so as shy divas, we had to be buzzed before emulating Madonna.
As for the food, the menu doesn’t have the level of diversity a restaurant or cafe has. However, we still enjoyed the fried pub-style grub just like we do at one of the finest bars in the city. We don’t need Wagyu to set the stage on fire. Beer is enough!
Tips: Arrive fashionably early to dodge a $10 latecomer’s fee at the entrance. In addition, swing by on Sundays if you prefer smaller crowds.
K-Illusion Karaoke
Address: 84 Hindley St
Contact Details: (08) 8211 6222
Operating Hours:
- Thu – 6 pm to 3 am
- Fri – 3 pm to 5 am
- Sat – 3 pm to 3 am
- Sun – 6 pm to 3 am
The moment we stepped into K-Illusion Karaoke, we knew we were in for a blast. Hailed as one of South Australia’s largest and best karaoke lounges, it’s a karaoke haven even the non-singing crowd would appreciate.
We had 17 private, ready-to-go rooms to choose from, and each sparkled with luxury black-and-gold decor, from the small to the premium. Their equipment was a huge plus, too, turning our caterwauling into a concert with its state-of-the-art setup.
To shake things up even further, they know how to mix mean cocktails that can easily blow your wallflower behavior. Cognac, beer, and whisky can also be downed if you’re into the harder stuff.
Tip: K-Illusion rooms sell out fast, so be a step ahead of the singing curve. Use one of the Internet’s greatest gifts—online booking!
i Darts Adelaide
Address: 1/102-104 Wright
Contact Details: (08) 8212 7992
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Thu – 4 pm to 2 am
- Fri to Sun – 2 pm to 2 am
I Darts Adelaide might be more known for its electronic darts (duh), but their private karaoke rooms are worth a shot too.
This place’s edge is how it rocks a frenzied party vibe (even without the best party supplies) with drinking games, flickering lights, and crisp pinball sounds—all adding to the chaos. Inside the karaoke rooms, though, the only noise you’ll worry about is your singing voice.
To gain access, your group of 5 or more will fork over $95 for an hour or $595 for three hours. The cherry on top is how these fees come with three bottles of premium spirits, a dartboard only you can hit, and $50 of in-game credit.
Tip: Want to blow off steam with some electronic darts? It’s way more fun when you actually learn the rules first!
No.9 Karaoke Bar
From sempaierin87
Address: Shop 5/36-48 Wright St
Contact Details: 0450 089 999
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Wed – 6 pm to 3 am
- Thu to Sat – 2 pm to 3 am
- Sun – 2 pm to 3 am
No.9 Karaoke is made for big bashes, as most of their rooms can handle 30 to 40 singers, frustrated or not.
Speaking of the rooms, they flaunt a classic “Chinatown karaoke bar” look. Think posh rooms with luxurious seating, themed decor, custom-made fixings, Chinese figurines, and glittering disco balls.
This karaoke bar’s best aspect, though, is its surround stereo system and powerful subwoofer. Each note can literally shake the walls, especially if your voice is as powerful as a caffeinated opera singer.
Tip: We get it, karaoke can make you lose track of time, but here’s the deal: no timers in the rooms here. Keep an eye on the clock to avoid extra charges.

Go East Karaoke Bar is where we usually go to shake off the day’s dust. They offer a futuristic look that isn’t dizzying and a CBD-overlooking terrace that’s ideal for lazing out after a night of singing galore.
The modern stage design is also a positive feature, complete with live musical instruments to jazz up your performance. In addition, classic cocktails flow freely.
What turned us into Go East regulars, though, is their internet-sourced music menu. With one click, it opens a library of over 200,000 tracks!

The Somerset Hotel

Contact Details: (08) 8258 2019
Operating Hours:
- Mon to Fri – 9 am to 2 am
- Sat – 8 am to 2 am
- Sun – 9 am to 12 am
The Somerset Hotel is where we hit high notes while basking under twinkling lights and smoke machines. Yup, you read that right. Their karaoke spot is perched on the garden bar, so you’ll be jamming with a side of booze and breeze.
Another ace they have is the extensive menu that kept us refueled. We never sing on an empty stomach, so their pizza and burgers were huge boons.
We have to hand it to the welcoming community, as well. Our recent visit was the first time we hit this spot up, but the regulars and staff made us feel like we had been rocking the mic with them for years!
Tip: After singing your heart out, swing by their lively gaming room for more entertainment.
