Pros

  • Flexible for many occasions
  • Good sense of humor
  • Works well with children
  • Professional communication pre-event

Cons

  • Booked months in advance
  • Fees are bit high

Adelaide Magician is a great choice if you need entertainment both for events with adults and children. Their performances are flexible for birthdays, conferences, weddings, and such.

Their strength is in the audience participation they provide. From what we’ve seen, audiences from their events were kept well-entertained within the span of one to two hours.

We like how simple yet effective their props are, which include Rubik’s cubes and cards. This makes them compatible with event venues with strict limitations on props.

Their magician has a good sense of humor and an inviting charisma. He’s great with interacting with children too.

One client even praised them for being able to adjust to performing in front of sensory-impaired children. This shows their skill and experience.

Furthermore, they’re professional when it comes to communication before the show. It’s also easy to book them through their website tool.

If there’s a downside to them, one is that they’re usually booked a month in advance. They may not always be available during peak seasons.

Aside from this, their fees are a bit higher than other magicians in Adelaide.

Pros

  • Magician has many years of experience
  • Performer has formal acting training
  • Provides many other party services
  • Transparent with rates

Cons

  • Only has 1 magician
  • Limited schedules available

Bring Me Magic has more than 15 years of experience, making them one of the go-to names for magic performances in Adelaide.

They’re an excellent choice because they provide many entertainment services both for adults and children. These include party telegrams, DJs, balloon tricks, and more.

Their magic act is led by Michael Wilkop, who has been featured in Adelaide Fringe, an annual arts festival in the city.

He has formal acting training, which helps in making his performances more engaging. He has been performing for more than 25 years and is also active as an acting coach and creative director.

One of his best tricks is his Magic Rose act, which is especially a hit among women.

In addition, their rates are well-explained and within reach. It starts at $250 per 30 minutes, which is reasonable given their magicians’ credentials.

However, a downside with them is that they only have one magician. This makes them unable to take on many schedules in a month.

Pros

  • Highly experienced magician
  • More than 15,000 parties handled
  • Affordable children’s party package
  • Can provide food machines (popcorn, fairy floss, and hot dogs)

Cons

  • Base fee is limited for 30 children
  • Geared more towards children rather than adults

The Amazing Magic is led by Michael Krantis, who has decades of experience performing. He has been trained in illusions, acting, and hypnotherapy.

He is all-around in terms of entertainment skills, and this comes in handy for his area of expertise: children’s entertainment shows.

His skill is seen in how he has performed for youth in juvenile detention and those with learning disabilities. He’s also worked with celebrities like Danny DeVito and Alice Cooper.

With more than 15,000 parties handled, his entertainment skill is reliable. Plus, he can even be hired as Santa, which comes with a complete grotto and costume set.

Even with all his credentials, his rate is still at an affordable $180 per hour. This comes with a comprehensive package of a live bunny appearance, a “magical gift,” and a set of magic tricks.

To complete the service, they can also provide popcorn, fairy floss, and hot dog machines. These are a big hit among children.

If there’s a downside to them, one is that their children’s party package is limited to only 30 children. Bigger venues will require a higher fee because of their emphasis on audience interaction.

Aside from this, most of his services are geared toward children, making him less recommendable for events for adults.

Pros

  • More than 22 years of experience
  • All-around entertainer
  • Magician has theater technician experience
  • Standout balloon twisting workshop

Cons

  • Late to respond to emails
  • Pricey audio system service

Aces Magic Entertainment is led by Simon Skinner, who has more than 22 years of professional entertainment experience. He’s also a skilled musician and theater technician.

The latter makes him a handy person to have around events in case you’ll also be including music for your entertainment. He’s professional and welcoming of his clients’ needs.

His track record shows that he’s compatible with most events and audiences. He’s handled quiz nights, club conventions, and children’s parties.

From what we’ve seen, he also constantly updates his magic tricks by incorporating new props and routines.

We especially like his balloon-twisting workshop because it easily grabs the attention of children. It also comes with a complimentary birthday gift for the celebrant.

That said, we found them slow to respond to emails. Aside from this, it can be pricey to hire them if you’ll also avail of their audio system for your event.

Pros

  • Can travel to many areas of Australia
  • Has a large team
  • Has many different types of shows offered
  • Specializes on weddings and corporate functions

Cons

  • Pricey
  • Some performers are booked in advance

MindBlown is one of the most accessible entertainers in Australia, as they can provide services for clients in Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Darwin, and Brisbane.

They have a large team of magicians, hypnotists, and mentalists, which is why they’re compatible with many events and audiences.

In relation to this, they have many shows prepared, including deception, keynote speaking, kids’ shows, wedding magic, and close-up magic.

The best part is that the duration for these can be adjusted depending on the time available for your event and your budget.

Their expertise is in weddings and corporate functions. They’re praised by many for their good audience engagement and innovative tricks.

Plus, their entertainers have performed at Adelaide Fringe Fest. They’ve had many sold-out shows and even had tours all over Australia.

Even with all of these, there are still a couple of downsides to consider before hiring them.

First, they’re pricey given the experience of their magicians. It’s best to be upfront with them about your available budget.

Next, their performers are sometimes fully booked months in advance. Be sure to contact them early if you want a specific magician for your event.
