No Sloppy Stitching from the Best Custom-Made Tailors in Adelaide!

Spot-on is how I’d describe Knightsman. Their process starts with a detailed consult, where 20-plus precise points are taken.

Digital tech is integrated with old-fashioned techniques as well, so the accuracy is made borderline flawless without stripping the artistry.

If we’re talking speciality, though, most people phone them for wedding tailoring (maybe pair them with these wedding makeup artists too?). Every bit is bespoke, and you have a thousand imported fabrics to pick from, avoiding tone or setting mismatch.

The afterservice is worth writing about, too. Clients enjoy lifetime alterations and free checkups, which help extend the piece’s lifespan, especially after bodily changes.

Of course, it’s not exactly “free.” Knightsman offers premium service, and pricey suits come with it.

Sunday hours aren’t available, either. Most tailors in Adelaide keep the machine humming daily.

We’d still say it’s not a bad deal. After all, you’re looking at a shop that opened in 2000.

Exceptional

The gents at Knightsmen did an amazing job on my wedding suit. I came to them looking for something unconventional and they more than delivered on that.

Believing that custom wardrobe doesn’t have to break the bank, Tailorobe crafts M2M pieces and prices them reasonably. That’s how most clients scored full bespoke sets for over $1,000, shoes included.

What makes it sweeter is the crew’s efficiency. Suits and accessories are often delivered in 2–4 weeks, making them a reliable choice for last-minute events (though weddings are what many book them for).

Past that, the brand is Adelaide’s first Indo-Pacific line for men. Anybody looking for the region’s traditional attire, mainly sherwanis, might find one here.

Where they fall short is in experience. Tailorobe hasn’t been in the game for 5 years, and we featured decade-old picks.

They are, however, still quite in demand. Booking in advance is the best way to snag a one-on-one or virtual meeting.

On the bright side, the staff are known to be friendly. Our interviewees even claim they were fab at answering concerns.

Beautiful Creations

The best in town we looked around for a very special specific fabric I had in mind it was quoted at $3000 for just the jacket!!!

Griesh gave us a complete set including shoes for $1050 (shoes, shirt and everything)

His Indian outfits are also of designer quality, he has very immaculate taste in men’s fashion.

Highly recommend him he did our Indian/ English estate – wedding theme so much justice in his beautiful creations.

Savile Row-inspired craftsmanship is what you’ll pay for at LaMilago. If you’ve seen their portfolio, you know exactly what we mean: luxe suits tailored to reflect individual style.

They reach that level through a detailed process, starting with taking over 20 precise measurements and stylist-guided chats. The cuts, linings, fabrics, accessories, and buttons are all discussed.

After that, the garment undergoes one or more trial fittings to adjust the fit, followed by final construction and finishing. Free tips for style coordination and maintenance are usually provided as well.

Longevity is one thing to consider, though. Those after older shops might find LaMilago’s 4-year tenure a tad short.

And similar to the last shop, this one is all the rage, given its Adelaide-friendly price range and expertise in wedding suits. A smart move is to call them at least 2–3 months before the big day.

Chances are, you’ve been to a wedding where the groom and groomsmen rocked suits made by InStitchu. They’re a common pick for tying the knot in style.

Cost plays a major factor in that. Groups can score discounts of up to 20%, and the lowest price point for a custom suit is $699!

The staff’s attention to detail is another; staff like Jess and Astrid are said to be extremely meticulous with the fittings and suggestions. What’s cooler is that they often pour whiskey or champagne to lighten the mood during consults.

InStitchu’s comms end could be better, though. We’ve come across people who were miffed about unanswered calls and emails.

You generally can’t just rock up to the showroom either, even if it’s not packed. Bookings are a must.

To be fair, you can save time by designing your suit through the online tool, which displays the pricing upfront.

Choosing Tailors of Distinction means putting your suit in seasoned hands.

Their master tailor, Andrew Kemp, is England-trained and has been tailoring for over 30 years (one major reason his shop is also here).

He keeps an eye on everything too, ensuring the team gets stuff like the measurements, patterns, and designs as precisely as possible. The high number of clients saying their suits came out “exactly as I envisioned” is one proof that it works.

One small hiccup is the shop’s limited hours. While the majority operate 6–7 days a week, this one sticks to a 5-day schedule.

It’d also be handy if there were modern tools that could be used for designing or previewing suits online.

But quality-wise? No moaning on our end. I mean, it’s hard to complain about suits made from Savile Row techniques and European-sourced natural fibres.

Tailors of Distinction don’t overcharge either, and they’ve been around since 1995!

Always Attentive

Along with the numerous shirts, ties and socks I have bought, Tailors of Distinction have tailor-made a significant number of jackets and trousers for me over the years. The fabrics, the accompaniments (buttons, stitching, linings etc) have always been of the highest quality, as has the tailoring. Andrew and Dawn are always attentive, offer a first class service and offer wonderful advice on styles that suit.
