Yots Hair is for those looking for tiered hair styling options. They offer packages priced differently based on the stylist’s position (stylist, senior stylist, and style director), which I appreciate, as it makes meeting different budgets and hair needs easier.

The salon was founded in 1989, and it has a team of experienced stylists who are excellent at customer service and communication.

They’re able to achieve a wide variety of hair colors, hair treatments (especially Fiberplex), and event styling. The look of my balayage treatment from them was natural, and it lasted two months.

It was also easy for me to book an appointment with them through their online booking form. Upon my day of visit, everything went smoothly from the receptionist to the stylist.

If there are things they can improve, however, it’s that they need more appointment slots. Their waiting times are also long for walk-in clients.

Clip Joint Salons’ expertise is in hair styling for commercial projects like runways, commercials, and TV shows. They can also handle large-scale event styling.

Founded in 1970, they have an in-house group of 60+ stylists available in 3 locations in Adelaide. Their North Adelaide branch is notable for having very courteous and accommodating staff.

When I visited there, I had a bad case of dry hair and split ends, which Amy and the staff were able to fix effectively. They took their time to explain my situation, the treatments they applied, and the aftercare. 

They can provide almost any hair styling service including coloring, extensions, treatments, and more. Their track record also shows that they’re flexible with the styles they can provide. 

That said, their services are pricey. Also, their appointment slots are limited.

Ninettes Hair City Salon specializes in bridal/wedding hair and makeup, and I visited them during my first time as a bridesmaid. They offer packages for junior maids, flower girls, mothers, and more.

Led by Director Nilia Annese, they aim to be always on top of modern beauty trends. They do this by regularly exposing stylists to local and international fairs.

My stylist added volume to my hair using skillfully styled extensions. She was extra attentive to my instructions, which made the result exactly like the reference image.

Their shop is also relaxing and comfortable to stay in. It didn’t bother me to wait for a couple of minutes because their receptionists were nice and approachable.

In terms of downsides, however, their services are pricey. Also, their wedding beauty service is always in high demand, making it hard to get an appointment.

ORBE North Adelaide is great at providing experimental or creative styles like the tricolor hairstyle I tried with them. Led by Ida and Joe, The salon has had more than 30 years of operation. 

During my visit, my stylist made sure to inform me about the limitations of my hair color and the potential damage I may get. In addition, she let me choose the products that I would use after she explained each one thoroughly.

They’re good at hair coloring in general, with an excellent track record for healthy-looking results.

In terms of things to improve on, however, their appointment slots are limited. Also, they take a couple of days to respond to their website’s contact form.

Curly Top Hair Salon offers one of the best packages, with the standout being the one that includes hair and brow styling for below $100. It’s my go-to for quick and excellent haircuts.

The salon provides haircuts to women, men, seniors, and children, which makes them great for families. Their representatives do a great job of making people feel comfortable regardless of age and gender.

They also have a very convenient booking tool through Bookwell. In addition, they have many appointment slots offered.

All in all, their rates are some of the most affordable for haircuts, styling, threading, and more.

That said, they’ve received some complaints for not being very communicative with clients regarding their preferences. They also abruptly cancel appointments sometimes.
