How to Get Around
Buses – The Adelaide Metro bus network covers most areas of Inner West Adelaide. This network has a lot of extensive bus routes running through Inner West Adelaide and follows a daily timetable.
Trains – The Adelaide Metro train network has six lines running through Adelaide and the city’s surrounding suburbs. The Grange line runs through Inner West Adelaide, with stations at Grange, East Grange, and West Croydon.
Trams – Adelaide’s Glenelg Tram Line passes through Inner West Adelaide. This tram line also runs through the western suburbs, including Hindmarsh and Bowden.
Cycling – With safe bike lanes and scenic paths, Adelaide is an excellent place for cyclists. You can rent a bike from one of the city’s many bike shops or use Adelaide’s bike-sharing service.

We can’t get enough of their mouthwatering poached eggs, fluffy French toast, and invigorating cold brew with almond milk.

Tour the River Torrens Linear Park Trail

If you want your visit to Inner West Adelaide to get physical (hopefully Olivia Newton-John’s hit doesn’t get stuck in your head), the River Torrens Linear Park Trail is your best option.
This park trail is a 30-km easy-to-travel path stretching from the scenic Adelaide Hills to Henley Beach!
In our humble opinion, walking, running, and biking are the most fun ways to tour this Adelaide gem.
With the calm river and vibrant, lush greenery along the way, this park trail is also rejuvenating escape from the busy city and a top spot for romantic dates and picnics.
The River Torrens Linear Park Trail also has playgrounds shaded by trees. A wee bit of warning: if you bring your little ones here, they might spend the entire day playing!
Prop tip: You can take a guided tour of the park to learn more about the history and ecology of the area! If this isn’t your thing, you can go kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding on the river.

Summer (Dec to Feb) – Inner West Adelaide’s summer weather ranges from warm to hot temperatures (16 to 29°C). Stay hydrated and wear outfits that are light to keep cool.
Autumn (Mar to May) – Autumn is when the temperature in Inner West Adelaide turns mild to cold (11 to 26°C). We suggest wearing thick clothing around this time, especially if you’re planning to go outdoors.
Winter (Jun to Aug) – Winter in Inner West Adelaide is cold (9 to 16°C) and can be rainy or windy at times. Umbrellas, raincoats, and jackets are the go-to gear during this moody and wet season.
