What: With over 1,200 events like art exhibits, musical performances, and theater (such as comedy, cabaret, and circus), the Adelaide Fringe is a treat for art enthusiasts.

What: Made for car enthusiasts worldwide, the Adelaide Motorsport Festival displays cars that range from Formula 1 to V8 supercars. The festival also showcases rare vintage cars and the latest models in this event.

What: Hosted every two years at the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art is a major event that showcases contemporary Australian art. It brings the spotlight to budding modern artists using different mediums and exploring different themes.

The best time for budget travelers to visit Adelaide is during winter, which is June to August. There are fewer tourists, but it can be cold (8 °C–16°C) and there are occasional rain showers.
