The Best Chicken Wings in Adelaide That Made Us Ditch Our Diet

I argue that the best workout is eating chicken wings! All you have to do is lift, dip, and savor. If you think we’re lying, you clearly haven’t tasted Adelaide’s finest.

From Ban Ban to Gunbae, the city of churches (and chicken) has cafes, restaurants, and pubs that’ll make you say, “Winner, winner, chicken dinner” faster than we could wolf down a classic buffalo or teriyaki wing. We gathered them here for you!

Buffalo Wing Co

Operating Hours:

  • Mon to Wed – 5 pm to 9 pm
  • Thu to Sun – 12 pm to 10 pm

Facebook

The cool and relaxed Buffalo Wing Co isn’t the fanciest spot we’ve visited, but their chicken wings get the job done.

Due to incredible reviews, we first tried their famous Southern fried chicken wing, and it didn’t disappoint. For just $14.90, we got 13 crispy and richly flavored wings marinated with buttermilk.

The $12.90 traditional wings made our Grange Road trip worthwhile too. Each succulent piece is originally drenched in BBQ sauce, but we went all out by adding chipotle, ranch, and blue cheese dips.

Tip: Get your money’s worth taking advantage of Buffalo Wing Co’s combo deals. They usually implement these specials on Thursdays.

In terms of the best-seller, it’s their crispy chicken wings at $15.50. The name sounds boring, but the wings’ gochujang mayo coating will certainly thrill your taste buds with its sweet, spicy, and savory kick.

Other notable variations include wings in soy garlic, Yakult sauce, sweet and spicy glaze, or sriracha mayo. Partner these up with a bottle of Soju or tap beer, and you’ll know why liquor and chicken are a timeless pair.

Tip: Don’t miss out on Ban Ban’s epic chicken wing giveaways. They usually roll out these tasty treats during the holidays.

Gunbae Chicken proved to us that Korea isn’t just about K-dramas and boy bands; their chicken game is on point too.

Delicately battered, ultra-crispy, and supremely tender, their OG Gunbae wings had us ordering thirds. We also enjoyed the soy and garlic wings’ unbeatable harmony of sweet and savory undertones.

The yang nyeom wings didn’t disappoint either. This wing boasts the ever-famous Korean sweet and spicy sauce that went hard with the Lychee Cosmo cocktail.

Yankees’s burgers may have initially drawn us, but it’s their wings that keep us coming back.

We never run out of options here, but our go-to flavors will always be their top-selling fiery buffalo and BBQ wings, both perfect with loaded fries and Mozzarella sticks.

The last time our team dropped by, we even took things a notch by adding beef patties and brownies to the mix. Yes, the aftermath was our trainers’ nightmare, but you can’t blame us. Nobody can skip a high-caloric affair with chicken wings as the centerpiece.

Tip: Yankee’s occasionally hosts events like live music nights or themed burger nights. All announcements are made on their Instagram above.
