Pros
- Scenic River Torrens view
- Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options
- Dog-friendly outdoor dining space
- Superb beverage range
- Multiple dining options
- Garden function for events
Cons
- Prioritizes garden functions excessively
- Loud and noisy
- Difficult to find parking spaces around the vicinity
With a breathtaking vista overseeing the River Torrens, Bloom at Winwood is definitely a hidden gem.
Bloom has got something for everyone’s tastes, especially those who have specific dietary preferences. They understand that some people are looking for a quick bite and others require a more filling meal.
This is why they have multiple dining options. They have an a la carte menu, a bottomless breakfast for the brekkie buffs, a shared feast curated by the in-house chef, and a free-flowing booze and beverage offering.
Talk about having it your way! This is also evident in the various gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options on their menu.
Their outdoor dining space is also dog-friendly, so you can bring your fur babies to the venue. Just make sure to inform them in advance so they can arrange everything for you.
Of course, the stars of cafés are usually their beverage range. Customers always rave about the great quality of their cocktails (we suggest the Smokey Mary) and their smoothies (try out their banana smoothie infused with an espresso shot).
They also have a garden function for events like weddings and other social gatherings.
However, herein lies the problem too. Bloom, oftentimes, prioritizes the garden functions way more than their usual eating-in customers.
The place can also get quite noisy due to events and during brunch hours. If you are someone who would like to enjoy your beverage in peace, this might not be for you.
In addition to this, you may find it challenging to find a parking spot around the vicinity.
Despite these, Bloom is a café worth checking out because of its awesome views and beverages!

Pros
- Halal-certified café
- Great coffee
- Caters to people with special dietary requests
- Commendable hospitality
- Wheelchair accessible venue
- Diverse menu
Cons
- Overwhelming menu
- Inconsistent food quality
When you enter Loveon Café, you will definitely get this vintage-style family diner vibe. We feel it greatly captures their values and community-centric approach to a café.
The regulars we got to talk to found the staff’s hospitality remarkable. From the moment you walk into their café, they will always find a way to make you feel at home even if it is a busy day for the establishment.
You feel included in the community when you are at Loveon Café. While we are on the subject of inclusivity, this is one of the few cafés we found that is halal-certified too.
They will also happily oblige if you have any special dietary requests. Here, you really can have it your way.
On top of this, they have the most varied menu in a café that we can find. Where else can you order a chicken karaage burger, vegan tacos, and chicken tikka masala at the same establishment?
However, some customers and regulars have mentioned that they tend to be inconsistent with their food quality. This is a bit disappointing considering that they have a very interesting menu.
We feel that it is also attributed to the overwhelming number of entrées they offer.
Nevertheless, the star of the show is still their coffee. It really is the redeeming factor in spite of the inconsistent food quality.
In addition to this, customers appreciate that they always serve your coffee with a smile. Talk about brightening up someone’s gloomy day!
Overall, the feeling of being closer to a community is always felt in Loveon Café. For that alone, it is worth the visit.

Pros
- Simple café with a chill vibe
- Locally sourced ingredients
- Top-notch specialty coffee
- Scrumptious pastry offerings
- Friendly staff and baristas
- Catering services offered
Cons
- Expensive price point for entrées
- Busy during brunch hours
If you’re thinking about getting your caffeine fix for the day, look no further than Sibling! It’s a quaint yet homey specialty coffee café at the fringe of Adelaide.
Customers are always amazed at how consistent and accessible their specialty coffee is.
Considered a hidden gem by locals, Sibling is a simple café that has a chill vibe to enjoy while having a memorable gastronomic experience.
It’s such a breath of fresh air to enter a café that does not have so many things happening in the interior. The rustic theme definitely adds to the cozy atmosphere.
Sibling also sources their ingredients and food items locally. These include their sumptuous pastries, sodas, and even specialty coffee beans!
Of course, it would be a dealbreaker if the service is lackluster. In Sibling, you will be well-attended by their friendly staff and baristas.
Special dietary requests are also welcomed. They have delicious vegan food, and may we suggest their vegan bagels and anything with their vegan brioche buns!
They also offer catering services if you’d like to enjoy their food with cherished company during special occasions.
However, we feel that their entrées are expensively priced. So be sure to ready your wallets if you plan on eating in.
During brunch hours, they might be packed, so be ready for a bit of a wait if you want to grab some coffee and pastries on the go.
If you’re looking for a cool and serene place to sit and chill while sipping a cup of coffee, Sibling is the place for you!

Pros
- Countless customization options
- Seasonal menu (preferential)
- Dog-friendly venue
- Great coffee and brunch pairings
- Generous portions
- Knowledgeable and friendly staff
Cons
- Overwhelming menu
- Expensive price point for brunch items
Pixie and the Hawk is such an uncommon café name that it just sticks with you. That’s what made us decide to try out this café
Customers here are quick to notice the freedom that you get in customizing your order. Almost every menu item has a gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian option.
They are very inventive when it comes to their menu offerings that change as the seasons go. Here, there is something new to expect every now and then.
So if you like variation and novelty, this is the place to be!
Seasonal menus are not for everyone, though. If you like to have your go-to coffee/beverage order with your favorite pastry, this café might not be for you.
Nevertheless, the ever-changing menu items that they come up with pair very well with their amazing coffee. They’re also quirky with naming their brunch items, which we feel is a nice touch. Conversation-starters indeed!
Oh, and how can we forget the generous portions that you get with their brunch items? They’re also beautifully plated when they arrive at your table.
Their venue has this hip and chic atmosphere which we find alluring.
Along with this, their outdoor dining area is also dog-friendly. They’ll even give your fur babies some treats!
However, a lot of customers find it hard to navigate their menu because there are just so many items. Don’t get us wrong, this is not a big deal, but if you are trying it out for the first time, it can get overwhelming.
On top of this, their brunch items also have an expensive price point, so we suggest you keep that in mind if you plan on going here craving a heavy meal.
Nonetheless, if you ever visit Pixie and the Hawk, may we suggest getting the Turkish delight latte along with their bagel?

Pros
- Splendid specialty coffee
- Carefully crafted seasonal menu
- Sustainably sourced ingredients
- Catering services offered
- Cyclist-friendly venue
- Live music performances
Cons
- Small portions for the mains
- Tricky parking situation for vehicles
Café Troppo is the complete package if you’re looking for a café that ticks all the boxes when it comes to what makes a café worth visiting and supporting.
They have splendid specialty coffee locally sourced from Adelaide growers, roasters, and brewers.
Plus, all their ingredients are seasonal produce from local farms and businesses! Because of this, they also adopt seasonal menu offerings to spice things up from time to time.
But one thing that always remains on the menu is their delightful handmade sourdough best paired with their locally sourced free-range eggs. Their almond croissant is great too!
Furthermore, they support and celebrate the local music and art scene by hosting live music events, workshops, and exhibitions.
They also have friendly and knowledgeable baristas that are up for a chat as you wait or sip your coffee.
As for their location’s accessibility, they have bicycle access in their vicinity so you can grab a bite and be well on your way straight after.
One downside that we found, however, is the small portions they have for the mains. In addition to this, you may find it difficult to find a parking space if you’re going here by car.
Lastly, we appreciate that one of their main values is to build connections by sharing food.
This is why they offer catering services. This is ideal for social events like weddings or even corporate meetings.
