My friend suggested The Nail Bar Beauty & Co. It’s in a mall, so we could do some shopping after our appointment! Plus, they have group bookings, so we could get that matching set.

We learned they specialise in shiny finish acrylic nails, with custom designs like glitters and detailed decals. 

My friend liked it here because the staff wear masks and gloves for hygiene. She said they also have a disinfectant station used every session. 

She also told me that they have a formula called Builder In A Bottle that makes their custom nails durable, easy to detach, and fall-proof. This was a relief! We have a long day ahead of us, so it’s nice to know I won’t lose a nail while strolling.

However, they only offer group bookings for up to 2 people. Their larger group appointments are only for bridal services. My friend and I could book here; larger groups may not qualify.

When I looked into the Color Club. Nails & Beauty, I was delighted that their services are affordable! Nail care starts at $45, while additional designs start at $5 for 2–4 fingers.

We were interested in their Gel Shellac Manicure. We can have bonus shellac nail art after the standard manicure routine.

They also have a range of services other than manicure and pedicure. My friend and I could kick back after a long day of exploring with their bath bombs, paraffin wax treatment, and hot massage!

When I asked how they practice hygiene, the staff said they are strict about wearing gloves and masks. They also only use medical-grade tools on clients. This is how they make sure there is no risk of skin irritation.

However, we were disappointed to learn they don’t have group appointments available.

My friend is extra enthusiastic about our girls’ day. Turns out, she’s also celebrating her birthday! Hidden Leaf Nail and Beauty Therapy is a place we’re eyeing because they have packages for celebrants, including free nail art!

I also have sensitive skin and rather brittle nails, but that isn’t a worry in their services. They use non-toxic, vegan nail products, which prevent nail bed damage and skin irritation.

We want a colourful nail look. Their ombrė nail art can get the job done with a gradient finish! 

The staff also said they use a sterilising device called an autoclave for tools, so they’re clean before appointments.

However, I was disappointed they lack group appointments. Booking individually might be a hassle.

Genuine care for nails’ health

“Absolutely love this salon! The team is so friendly, professional, and truly cares about the health of your nails and beauty needs. My nails were in rough shape from too much drilling and acrylic at another nail bar, but the girls removed them safely and suggested a break to help them recover. After nearly a month, I tried their BIAB manicure, and my nails have never been stronger or healthier! I also love that they focus on natural nail care,no harsh chemicals, acrylics, SNS, or excessive drilling. Such a great experience every time,highly recommended!!”

Norwood Nails design & Eyelashes caught my attention. They have affordable nails starting at $40 and group appointments available! I quickly texted my friend to search more about this place.

Plus, they’re also willing to design custom nail sets. That excited us the most. We can finally have matching nails to celebrate our friendship!

Even if we share nail designs, the staff don’t share medical-grade tools. Plus, they also wear masks and gloves to avoid contact contamination risk.

However, upon further inquiry via phone, my friend said that their services are limited to manicure, pedicure, nail and eyelash care.

They don’t have massages, a spa service, or waxing. We mainly aimed for nails, but just that may be dissatisfying for customers looking for additional body care services.

Short waiting time, hospitable service

“I went with my best friend for a walk-in at about 7pm on Tuesday, and only had to wait a short while before they were ready, the staff were so so friendly and hospitable, treated us so kindly, always checking that we liked the work they were doing, and offering us chocolate!! I asked for a design and they did it perfectly. I’m so happy with it, truly I was treated with nothing but kindness even though we came in kind of late. I will for sure be coming back!! We checked out Green Goddess Nails and Beauty because it’s close to the cafe in our itinerary. We could easily pop in after coffee, since they also accept walk-ins!

I was also impressed with their prices. We could get a simple nail set starting at $35. Meanwhile, additional nail art starts at $5. We don’t have to go overboard with our budget!

We also like that they have shellac nail polish, which prevents chipping. They also have medical-grade tools cleaned in a station before use.

But they lack accommodation for group appointments. It might not be enough for customers like us who want to have a plus one.
