  • 12-month manufacturer’s warranty
  • Offers service and repairs
  • Price match guarantee
  • Minimum deposit
  • In house financing
  • High-quality campers and caravans

  • Communication can be improved
  • Parts can be hard to find

Market Direct Campers & Caravans, or MDC, is an Australian-owned and operated camper trailer manufacturer. Its RV dealer shop in Adelaide is one of the go-to places for people looking for a home on the road.

What we love about this dealership are its high-quality campers and caravans. All of their RVs comply with the Australian Design Standard VSB1 and Australian Design Rule 62, ensuring customers that they are carefully engineered.

MDC is also ISO 9001 Quality Certified, meaning they’ve proven consistent in producing high-quality products.

We also love that the shop offers repairs, so if you unexpectedly experience some problems, finding help won’t be hard.

However, if you need to replace some parts, repair may take some time, as parts can be hard to find.

Another edge they have is offering a price match guarantee, allowing customers to negotiate for a lower price if they find a much cheaper alternative.

They also have a low minimum deposit required to get a camper. At only $3,000, you can already get started with a new RV.

On top of that, they also provide in-house financing, making the buying process less stressful.

We’re just a bit disappointed with their communication system. Sometimes, a negotiated RV was sold to someone else because of communication mishaps.

  • Offers spare parts and accessories
  • Offers repairs and servicing
  • Sells both new and used RVs
  • Only authorised dealer of Avan, Golf, and Knaus in South Australia
  • Partners with Credit One for financing

  • Delivery and warranty works take time
  • The website has caravans and campers that are not actually in stock

Avan Adelaide is a family-owned RV dealer that aims to provide campers and caravans to both experienced and novice caravanners.

We were impressed by the dealership’s wide range of products. They have used and new RVs in different types, sizes, and brands, so finding the best van for you shouldn’t be hard.

In fact, the shop is the only authorised dealer of brands like Avan, Golf, and Knaus. Hence, finding genuine spare parts for those brands will also come easily for you.

You can find some of the shop’s stocks on its website, so you can browse them first before heading to the shop.

Just note that the website is not updated, so some of the listed campers and caravans are already out of stock. It’s better to call Avan first to confirm the availability of the van.

We also love that the shop partnered with Credit One to help customers finance their dream RV.

You can get a financing package tailored to your needs at Credit One, so their services are worth considering.

We’re just slightly disappointed at the van’s turnaround time. Delivery and warranty work takes significantly longer than in other shops, so make sure to get the delivery date in writing to avoid further delays.

  • Over 40 years of experience
  • 2-year manufacturer warranty
  • 5-year structural warranty
  • 3 years of 24/7 roadside assistance
  • Offers repairs and servicing
  • In-house financial services

  • Some instances of staff members not assisting customers
  • Repairs take time

For the past 40 years, Jayco has become one of Australia’s leading RV manufacturers. They built over 200,000 RVs and currently have 12 different types of vans available.

What stood out to us the most about Jayco is its long warranty. They offer 2 years of manufacturer warranty and 5 years structural warranty, which are much longer than other RV dealers.

The 2-year manufacturer warranty is also transferrable, so even second-hand RVs can still be covered by warranty.

On top of that, they also offer 3 years of 24/7 roadside assistance, so you don’t have to worry about not having anyone to call when you face some problems with your van.

The only downside is they have a long turnaround time for their repair services. Sometimes, it takes months to finish the repair, frustrating the customers.

We were also a bit disappointed at some staff members for not assisting customers. Some customers are left waiting at the reception, not knowing what to do.

On the bright side, they offer in-house financial services to customers. They have flexible terms and competitive interest rates that can greatly help you with your purchase.

  • Offers a wide range of RVs
  • Flexible financing options
  • Offers caravan rentals
  • Huge inventory
  • Open 7 days a week

  • Low trade-in value
  • Poor customer service
  • Used vans have problems

Camperagent RV Centre Adelaide is another dealer with a huge pool of RVs for customers.

The dealer offers motorhomes, caravans, and camper trailers from Hitch Hika, Highclere, Avida, Newlands, and more.

What we love about this shop is they don’t only sell RVs but also offer caravan rentals. This allows customers who don’t have enough budget to buy a caravan to enjoy the fun and benefits the vehicle provides, even for a short period of time.

We also love that the shop is open 7 days a week, making it accessible to customers who are too busy on weekdays to drop by.

We also find the shop’s financing options to be very flexible. They have secured and unsecured finance, commercial, personal, self-employed, and low-doc loans.

They also offer to finance used vans, which is very helpful, as second-hand vans are still expensive.

We’re just a bit disappointed at how low the trade-in value that they offer is. Even with RVs that are still relatively new, the value they offer is quite low compared to what other shops offer.

We also find the customer service lacking, especially the after-sales service. They’re hard to contact and don’t respond to emails raising concerns.

Some sales assistants also don’t seem to know much about some of the vans. They can’t answer some questions and don’t give suggestions.

  • Over 10 years in business
  • Huge Inventory
  • 3 years manufacturer warranty
  • 12 months roadside assistance
  • Partners with Stratton Finance for financing
  • Informative website

  • Some vans have problems
  • Delays usually happen

New Age has been manufacturing top-notch caravans for Australians since 2009.

What we love about this shop is its huge inventory of New Age caravans, pop tops, and campers. They have six different types of caravans that fit different kinds of owners and lifestyles.

They also have two pop top models that you can choose from if you prefer pop tops.

We also love how informative the website is. You can see the caravans’ features, including what wiring is used and what to expect inside the van.

We also appreciate the long warranty term that they offer to customers.

They provide a 3-year manufacturer warranty and 12 months of roadside assistance for every purchase to give buyers peace of mind.

The only disappointing aspects are when delays happen and some vans have problems.

There are times when the scheduled delivery isn’t followed because of delays. Hence, if you plan on buying from them, go to the shop months before you use the RV.

Some former customers also experienced problems with the shop’s vans, so they had to return them to repair shops to get everything fixed.

Fortunately, the shop also offers repair, so getting them fixed isn’t that hard.
