Pros

  • Great location
  • Open 7 days a week
  • Generous serving
  • Extensive menu
  • Outstanding food

Cons

  • Service can be improved
  • Limited parking

Secrets by the Sea is one of the most recommended seafood restaurants in Adelaide, and we can totally see why.

It has an extensive menu that’s made from outstanding fresh seafood.

Among their menu, the barramundi is our favourite with an amazing sauce. It also comes with baked potatoes that were just equally tasty and complemented the meat of the barramundi well.

We also love that they’re very generous with their serving. Usually, when restaurants serve food as good as theirs, they will come in small portions, but that’s not the case in Secret by the Sea.

The only disappointing part about the restaurant is its service. It’s quite slow even on nights when the restaurant isn’t that busy.

The owner also seems to not take criticism well, which is quite a pity, as those criticisms can help improve the restaurant.

Parking is also quite limited since only street parking is available. You should be able to find an empty spot a few blocks away from the restaurant.

On the bright side, the restaurant is located right by Henley Beach, so you can enjoy the beautiful sea while dining.

Pros

  • Open 7 days a week
  • Extensive menu
  • Near Glenelg Beach
  • Excellent drink menu

Cons

  • Quite expensive
  • Service can be improved

Cardone’s in Jetty Road probably has the best beverage menu out of everyone on this list.

They have a very extensive beverage menu, with wine and cocktails being the best among their drinks.

Their rosé wines were especially good for the food that they served. They match perfectly well with the mains, making the overall experience better.

Aside from their drinks, they also have a wide menu size. Their South Australian King George Whiting is a must-try when you come to visit.

The food, however, can be expensive. The whiting is already $50, and their entreé menu costs $23 to $43, which is quite a lot for entreé meals.

We understand that the $50 price tag for the SA KG Whiting is because of how amazing the meal is. However, we do think the price for the entreé isn’t reasonable for the food’s quality.

The service also appears lacking. Some of the servers weren’t as friendly as we hoped.

They also sometimes get the order wrong, especially with the request on the doneness of the food. We specifically asked for medium-well, but the food came out more pinkish than we wanted.

On a lighter note, the restaurant is open 7 days a week, so you can drop by anytime.

Pros

  • Excellent drink menu
  • Lovely ambience
  • Extensive menu
  • Beautiful presentation

Cons

  • Small serving
  • Customer service can be improved

Louca’s Seafood Restaurant has a long history when it comes to serving high-quality seafood dishes. It was established in 1953 and was one of the pioneers of seafood cuisines in South Australia.

Up to this day, the restaurant remains one of the best seafood restaurants in the state.

What we love most about Louca’s is the lovely ambience inside the restaurant. The white walls and the floor-to-ceiling windows make the restaurant look more open and welcoming.

The dishes are also beautifully presented, which adds to the overall vibe of the restaurant. We had to take a picture of each dish that we were served because of how pretty they were.

The taste, if you’re wondering, is just as lovely as the presentation.

The only problem we have with the menu is the serving portion. They come in small portions, so it was hard for us to feel full.

The drink menu also deserves praise from us; we recommend the 1654 Shiraz. Other than their alcoholic drinks, they also offer non-alcoholic drinks for those who don’t want alcohol.

We’re just not that pleased with the service. Some of the waiters don’t tell you the specials, and the service is quite slow.

Pros

  • Excellent location
  • Relaxing ambience
  • Amazing food
  • Open 7 days a week

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Small portion
  • Slow service

Located by Henley Beach, SeaSalt Society offers customers both tasty food and a relaxing ambience.

They are open 7 days a week, so you can visit any day you’re available.

Tables are set up outside the restaurant, allowing you to enjoy the sun and the breeze of the beach.

The blue tiles on the wall of the restaurant and the yellow parasols make the overall vibe of the restaurant more relaxing and calming.

Another thing we love about SeaSalt is its amazing food. The squid and sashimi are among our favourites, so be sure to try them out.

The only problem we have with their menu is the small portion and expensive price tags.

The sashimi we had was served with only seven small pieces but was already priced at $24.

Considering how expensive the menu is, we expected to get bigger servings, so it was disappointing when they came in.

The service is also quite slow because of how many people are dining at the restaurant.

Pros

  • Open 7 days a week
  • Excellent location
  • Perfect for a romantic dinner
  • Delicious oysters

Cons

  • Customer service can be improved
  • Expensive

If you’re looking for the perfect date spot for you and your significant other, Sammys on the Marina is the best place for you.

Overlooking the beautiful St. Vincent Gulf, the glass-walled restaurant provides a lovely atmosphere for its diners.

What we love most about Sammys the Marina, besides its location, is its delicious oysters. They’re some of the best we’ve ever had, so we highly recommend them.

The tasting platter is a must-try if you want a good seafood experience. It has oysters, prawns, sardines, and calamari.

We also love that they’re open 7 days a week, allowing more customers to dine.

The only downside is they’re a bit on the expensive side. The tasting platter costs $65, so it’s not an everyday restaurant for everyone.

Customer service is also not their best area. Some staff members sound sarcastic, and the food also takes some time to arrive.
