Pros

  • Well-known in Adelaide CBD
  • Has a 2.5m-sized screen
  • Has weekly food discounts
  • Child-friendly

Cons

  • Some servers aren’t accommodating
  • Inconsistent food quality

The Original Coopers Alehouse is one of the best-known pubs in Adelaide. Its location in the CBD makes it very accessible to many.

One of their highlights is their 2.5m-sized screen, which makes viewing sports games a very thrilling experience. Here, there is a large space for the rowdiest crowds.

To further improve your viewing, they have a wide selection of wines and cocktails. These are made with special ingredients which make them very memorable.

We like how they have weekly discounts for pizzas, ribs, schnitzels, and more. Having a snack while you watch games is more affordable through this.

In addition, they’re kid-friendly as seen through their inclusion of a kids’ menu. The ambiance of the place is also family-friendly.

One of the aspects we don’t like about them, however, is that their servers aren’t very accommodating. This doesn’t apply to all of them, though.

Aside from this, the quality of their meals isn’t consistent. Specifically, their steaks are sometimes dry.

Pros

  • Has a gaming room
  • Homey ambiance
  • Convenient location
  • Affordable prices

Cons

  • Takes some time to prepare food
  • Design isn’t as outstanding as other pubs

The Rosey is a great choice because of its recent renovations. They have many facilities such as sports shows, gaming rooms, and live music.

Located in the CBD, the pub is easy to access for many. It’s near many popular locations such as West Oak Hotel, Black Bull Hotel, and the Pancake Kitchen.

The ambiance here is homey, unassuming, and friendly toward newbies. Because of this, it’s a popular spot for tourists.

In addition, you can get bonus points from the Jackpot Club when you buy food or play their gaming machines. They promote safe gambling techniques to avoid addiction too.

The prices of their meals, especially during happy hours, are affordable and great for multiple people. Through this, you will have no problems watching with your group of friends.

We also found the place well-maintained and always clean. Through this, the ambiance of the bar is always comfortable.

That said, a downside with them is that the design of the place is not as inspired as other pubs.

Aside from this, they take some time to prepare orders. Some clients said that they had to repeatedly remind the servers about their orders.

Pros

  • Convenient location
  • Friendly atmosphere
  • Affordable rates
  • Has an outdoor screen

Cons

  • Design is dated
  • Number of indoor TV screens is inadequate

Sportys Bar Arena is part of Arkaba Hotel, which has a convenient location in Glen Osmond Road.

One of the best aspects of Sportys Bar Arena is the friendly atmosphere inside it. Here, the crowd is always active and exciting.

The experience is improved because of their use of an outdoor screen, which is great for those who want to view the city lights as they watch.

Aside from this, they have four lounges that have good audio equipment that’s great for those who want a private corner for themselves.

We like their weekly specials, as they provide good value for your money. Our favorite is their Steak Night Tuesdays when steaks are priced at $17.

Finally, their servers are very friendly and quick to respond to your requests. This completes the experience for you.

A downside that we’ve seen, however, is that the design of their place is a bit dated. It can benefit from some renovations to make its aesthetics more modern.

Aside from this, the number of TV screens may not be enough to please a packed room.

Pros

  • Has a great private function
  • Affordable rental rates
  • Generous servings
  • Convenient location

Cons

  • Misleading advertising
  • Space is limited

Jimmy’s Bar and Grill is notable for having four different bars, each with their own unique aesthetic and target crowd.

Their basement bar is great for sports events, as it has four flat-screen TVs available. It has access to high-definition Foxtel too.

It’s a great choice for private functions, as it can accommodate up to 80 guests in total. The rate for this is at a minimum spend of $3,000, which is reasonable.

Another thing that many customers liked is that they provide generous servings, especially for their beers. Because of this, you get a lot of value for your money.

Lastly, their convenient location in Grenfell Street makes it easy to visit for many after work. Because of this, they have many regulars in the area.

That said, a downside with them is that their space is too small, especially when the bar is crowded.

Aside from this, the prices they advertise are a bit misleading, as you end up paying more for what you were initially promised.

Pros

  • Convenient location
  • Has more than 15 screens
  • Good food quality and presentation
  • Holds lotteries to entertain the crowd

Cons

  • Some customers experienced unfriendly service from them
  • Lackluster interior design

McQueens Tavern and Gaming has a great location at Angle Park near Adelaide CBD. Because of this, they are easily accessible to many customers.

Their gaming hours are accommodating of various schedules, as it starts at 11 AM and ends at 5 AM. The machines they have are among the latest and most requested.

The sports bar has more than 15 screens, making viewing parties more immersive for big crowds. Their happy hours also last long, and the ambiance for these is very energetic.

One thing that keeps their regulars returning is the lottery they hold during games. Through this, you are encouraged to stay until the end.

Finally, the great quality and presentation of their food are the cherry on top. Many compliment it for being consistently well-designed and prepared.

From what we’ve seen, one thing we don’t like is that some customers experienced unfriendly service from their staff.

Aside from this, we found their interior design lacking in terms of cohesiveness and freshness.
