Pros

  • Friendly instructors
  • Starter-friendly
  • Routines are sequenced scientifically

Cons

  • Can be expensive
  • Located in North Adelaide

Studio Pilates comes very upfront and honest about what to expect in their Pilates classes.

They deliver high-intensity, low-impact workouts that are scientifically sequenced to transform your body in the fastest way possible.

Their programs consist of fast-paced and intense Pilates sessions that will challenge you both mentally and physically.

What’s more, they’re affordable for starters too. If you’re new, you can enroll in a six-class session for as low as $60. However, it can get pretty expensive as you go along.

It’s highly recommended that you take three to four classes a week to effectively improve your body’s strength, flexibility, and endurance. Studio Pilates’ trained sessions can cost between $22 to $30 per class.

One important thing to note is they’re located in North Adelaide. It’s around 4.6 miles from Adelaide CBD and even farther if you’re located in South Adelaide.

If you’re willing to look past the long drive, you can avail of their Pilates class and meet their super friendly instructors.

Pros

  • Highly experienced instructors
  • Affordable
  • Open 7 days a week

Cons

  • Unresponsive to emails and text messages
  • Intense teaching style

Eastside Yoga and Pilates is founded by a fitness instructor with long years of experience in teaching yoga and Pilates.

Their vision is to allow yoga to build a solid connection between the body, mind, and breathing. They believe physical health is just as important as mental health.

So coming into class, you can’t only expect to achieve your goal weight but also develop a clear, positive mind too.

If you’re a busy person, no worries. They’re open seven days a week to accommodate all members.

However, classes are limited. For example, every Monday, they only have one 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM class.

As for pricing, you may be glad to hear that they’re very affordable.

If you’re starting, they have an offer of $25 for 10 days of unlimited classes. You can also choose from several of their packages too.

If you think you’re going in for the long run, we recommend paying directly through a debit card since it will only cost you $55 a week for unlimited classes.

When inquiring, make sure to reach out via phone call. They’re not really responsive to emails and text messages. This could be due to their limited studio hours.

Moreover, their instructors’ teaching styles are authentic and nonjudgmental.

However, they could get pretty intense when teaching, so expect some pressure buildup. You won’t be allowed to drink water during class unless they say so.

Pros

  • Fun and friendly instructors
  • Focused on female fitness

Cons

  • Low percentage of male students, which may make some men uncomfortable

Aleenta Health Club strives to be the oasis for all hardworking women. They want their studio to be a fun and welcoming space to refuel and reconnect with your mind and body.

Its primary mission is to master women’s fitness of all shapes and sizes.

Take note that they’re not strictly female only. However, if you’re a male student enrolling in a class, you might find yourself outnumbered.

If you’re uncomfortable with this, we suggest you look at the other studios on this list.

That said, their studio is conveniently located at the East End of Rundle Street near Adelaide CBD, making it the best place to drop by after your long work hours.

To accommodate a superwoman’s busy work schedule, they’re open seven days a week with up to five classes a day.

If you’re unable to perform some exercises due to special needs, they’d be more than happy to offer modified routines for you.

What’s more, they have a long list of educational blogs on their website.

Some of the topics are exercises for pregnant women, what you need to know about the different kinds of Pilates, and how to achieve self-development.

Pros

  • Club Pilates has a wide range of classes
  • Instructors are highly trained and knowledgeable

Cons

  • Soul Focus Pilates classes can be crowded sometimes

Körpermotus’ vision started out with its desire to share the Pilates method to all people. Their belief is that a strong, healthy, and reliable mind and body are the key to improved body functionality.

They’re highly rated for providing intricate, intimate, and deliberate routines that are tailored to every individual’s needs.

When enrolling for a clinical class, they have a required one-hour one-on-one introduction to ensure all previous injuries, needs, modifications, and goals are communicated.

Their well-trained instructors take time to document your movement, physique, posture, mobility, and more to figure out which routines would work best for your goals.

However, quality surely comes at a price.

The introduction alone costs up to $85, including your first class.

These are higher compared to other studios in the area.

It’s justifiable considering the intricacy of routines, the hands-on support you’ll get from instructors plus the clean and modern studio.

You might want to plan and book ahead of your desired schedule to secure a slot.

Club Pilates has established numerous studios all across the globe since its establishment in 2007.

Their Pilates lessons are purely based on the original Joseph Pilates’ Reformer Contrology Method but with a modernized touch of today’s latest equipment.

What’s more, they offer nine different Pilates classes. Each class focuses on different areas of the body, so you’re free to choose a class that’s best for your desired outcome.

Aside from that, you can also avail their free intro Pilates class. This is a 30-minute, full-body training with one of their experienced instructors.

Each of their instructors has completed a 500-hour training in Comprehensive Pilates, making them perfectly capable to train and accommodate students.

One downside is they don’t have their prices posted on their website.

They claim to offer top-notch pilates classes at surprisingly affordable prices, but they don’t really give their rates right away to confirm this.

When inquiring, especially for special concerns, we recommend calling their phone number directly or dropping by their physical studio. It could take them a couple of days or more to respond to email queries.

Pros

  • Accommodating and proficient instructors
  • Welcoming and engaging community
  • Excellent overall experience

Cons

  • Slight limitations on package versatility

Roaming Zen is a company that offers a wide range of fun and engaging classes to help clients attain their fitness goals through either workouts or zen sessions among others.

Serving several communities in the area, we like that their studio is able to offer a calm and inclusive environment wherein clients get to enjoy the moment and relax from their everyday busyness truly.

Furthermore, their small class sizes offer much more attention to detail and personalized approaches that can better resonate and engage with their clients’ individual lifestyles and personalities.

Note though that since they have readily packaged classes, their services are quite rigid and clients may need to reach out to them when working out their specific needs.

Overall, with their welcoming and well-equipped studio where they hold their classes, engaging and professional instructors, and versatile fitness approaches, we highly recommend them to clients in the area looking for such services.

Pros

  • Boutique reformer pilates
  • Open everyday
  • Variety of classes
  • Small class sizes
  • Various membership plans available

Cons

While they’re pretty new and just opened in 2022, we think that Soul Focus Pilates is a great pilates studio in order to take care of your mind, body, and soul.

Their boutique reformer pilates focuses on breath mindfulness and body awareness.

What we like about their studio is how they allow their clients to be in control of how they want to shape their weekly workouts.

They have a variety of classes available that are enough to challenge each student but is in no way intimidating.

We like that they have high quality classes for every level—beginner to advanced—taught by experienced and knowledgeable instructors.

Another thing we like about this studio is how small their class is. They only take in 8 people at a time so that they can easily focus on each student and correct their alignment and form if need be.

We think that each of their sessions leave each one feeling refreshed, energised, relaxed, and balanced. We highly recommend!
