The 20/20 Goal: Top 5 LASIK Services in Adelaide

  • Cost: While we do believe that spending more on quality services is important, we want to ensure that these clinics can do effective LASIK surgery with a reasonable price tag.
  • Service Range: We included clinics that provide more than just LASIK surgery so you can have access to other optical services you might need.
  • Expertise: We only picked highly-rated LASIK services and assessed them based on patients’ reviews and our friends’ personal experiences.
  • Results: We also looked up each clinic’s past patients’ results and their experience in their healing process. No one wants a botched surgery, after all!

Can’t recognize the blob in front of you? A LASIK treatment may be the answer to your problem. Looking for the best one in the city doesn’t have to be hard, even with your vision now.

To make this list, we asked our buddies who had LASIK surgery for recommendations. The treatment seems to be working well for them, as they can see us from a block away now!

With their help, here are the top eye clinics we think are worthy of your consideration.

IVISION LASER is one of the highly-rated optical clinics in Adelaide. They have high-tech equipment such as the ZEISS VisuMax laser, and their eye exams for treatment recommendations are thorough.

Moreover, they offer monthly payment plans per eye. Former patients also said that the staff were warm and accommodating.

However, we find it unfortunate that the clinic is closed on Sundays. It might be a deal-breaker for some who are only available on weekends.

The price tag itself isn’t that friendly either, but you do pay for modern equipment and good service.

Pros

  • Monthly payment plans per eye
  • Accessible free online self-tests to find out if you’re a candidate
  • High-tech optical equipment for eye treatments

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays and every other Saturday
  • Expensive

Today is two weeks post-surgery; I feel my vision is almost at its best (clear, sharp, able to see near and far objects with ease, no light sensitivity). There is so much care from Dr Gupta and the surgery assistant team. I post comments here to let the public know that Dr Gupta treats you as a precious individual instead of a money-making subject. She would advise you of all the potential risks and let you know if you are a suitable candidate for laser eye surgery. You will be in a good hand!

Ivision laser helped me correct my vision with significant improvement results on the first day. Dr Gupta was amazing to deal with and made me feel really comfortable during consultations, through the surgery and post surgery appointments. Would highly recommend this painless surgery to correct your vision.

Laser Vision SA, under the hands of Dr Graham Fraenkel, has been performing surgeries since 1996, helping people regain clearer eyesight. They were Adelaide’s first all-laser LASIK service!

They take the time to walk you through available treatments through obligation-free assessments. After surgery, they have a day-one and one-month review to check on your eyesight.

Unfortunately for office workers, their clinic is closed during weekends and one patient complained that their front desk staff was unwelcoming.

Pros

  • ISO 9001 accredited clinic for consultations and operations
  • Obligation-free assessment available
  • Operating since 1996
  • Available parking nearby
  • After procedure check-in
  • Seasoned leading practitioner

Cons

  • Closed on the weekends
  • Cold front desk staff

Life changing experience. Extremely professional team made me feel comfortable and confident in the procedure (BILATERAL SMILE PRO) throughout the entire process. I can now see clearly free from glasses just 24 hours after my procedure. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to aid me through this process.

Dr.Graham & all the assistants were amazing in the lead up & on the day of the surgery. They helped settle any nerves & answered all my questions.

The surgery was super quick & pain free!

Cant thank them enough for my new vision!

Adelaide Eye & Laser Centre offers a wide variety of eye-related treatments and surgeries. They use high-tech laser optical technology such as femtosecond laser and excimer laser for LASIK surgeries.

They also ensure that their patients are taken care of by providing a careful complementary laser assessment to see if LASIK works for you or if a different laser surgery would be better.

However, some patients weren’t happy to wait for over an hour and a half for their appointments. They are paying a hefty price of $3,280 per eye for LASIK surgery, so delays aren’t appreciated.

Pros

  • Offers more optical services than just optical laser surgeries
  • Warm and friendly staff
  • Offers free teleconsultation assessment
  • Upfront full payment for LASIK has a $280 discount per eye
  • Monthly payments are available for LASIK surgery

Cons

  • Delayed appointments
  • Expensive
  • Closed on weekends

The whole process from online application to post laser surgery care was simple and streamlined! All the staff were amazing and professional. A nice calm environment. I had SMILE completed by Dr Ingham and everyone made you feel at ease. After wearing glasses for nearly 30 years, just wish I had done this sooner!

I am completely amazed with the results of my LASIK surgery. Absolutely no pain, mild discomfort for only a couple of hours, and 20/20 vision the next day. I was very nervous about the surgery and had been to several other clinics for consultations before, but no one made me feel as comfortable and confident to proceed as Dr LaHood. I also really liked that there was no pressure to proceed. My only regret is that I didn’t get it done sooner! Thanks Dr LaHood!

ParkView Day Surgery has 25 years’ worth of experience in repairing and improving vision. They have high-tech optical equipment like the excimer laser to perform their LASIK surgeries.

Their leading ophthalmologists are members of the FRANZCO (Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists). Their medical team and safety standards are also National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) accredited.

With its competent doctors and NSQHS accreditation, the price tag is quite steep for their services. It’s also unfortunate that their clinic is closed during weekends, which can be a pain for most people.

Pros

  • A wide variety of optical services and treatments
  • NSQHS accredited establishment
  • FRANZCO Ophthalmologists
  • Free underground parking
  • Comfortable recovery areas

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • Expensive

My whole experience was wonderful. The best nurses! So kind and happy. Always kept their eyes on me to see if I was ok or getting anxious. Anaesthetists both were excellent and of course Dr Ben is lovely as well as an excellent surgeon.

Thank you so much, I can now see!❤️❤️❤️

Vision Eye Institute in Adelaide may be in a stunning, historical 19th-century building, but they’re not lagging when it comes to technology. They have the high-tech femtosecond laser and excimer laser for LASIK surgeries.

Their LASIK surgery is relatively quick, and their professional ophthalmologists perform the treatment in a laser eye correction suite.

Compared to the other clinics on this list, it’s also the most accessible with two satellite offices available.

The downside is they’re closed on Sundays, which could be the only available day for some patients.

Pros

  • ISO 9001 accredited clinic
  • FRANZCO ophthalmologists
  • Offers more optical services than just optical laser treatments
  • Ophthalmologists charge within the Medicare Benefits Schedule fee
  • Two available satellite offices
  • Free eye consultation

Cons

  • Closed on Sunday

I have been having injections for 8 years for WMD all over Australia and Dr Tiger is the best practioner I have ever dealt with. Thank you Dr Tiger for your professionalism and competence.
