Pros

  • Can host parties

  • Open 7 days a week
  • 16 bowling lanes
  • Free parking space
  • Good food

Cons

  • Getting a refund may be troublesome
  • Expensive

Kingpin Norwood is the perfect hangout place for you and your pals. They have a variety of activities for you to try, like 10-pin bowling, laser tag, arcade games, and more.

The alley is open 7 days a week, so you can meet there anytime convenient for you.

What we like about this place are its private rooms that you can rent for parties. This allows you to enjoy a fun-filled birthday party or social event over a game of bowling.

The alley has 16 bowling lanes, so there’s enough space for everyone to play.

We also love the food served at the cafe. They have the perfect food set, like burgers and fries, for an enjoyable but intense round of bowling.

The food and game tickets, however, can be pricey. One game costs $17 per person from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays and $21 for other times.

Party packages are also quite expensive. They start at $45 per person for one activity, a welcome drink, an event host and a planner.

Getting a refund may also be stressful. Refunds from cancelled parties will take some time, and a bunch of emails will be exchanged before they’re processed.

Pros

  • Open 7 days a week
  • 24 bowling lanes
  • Can host private parties
  • Good food
  • Affordable rates

Cons

  • Customer service can be improved
  • Facilities are a little rundown
  • New website is yet to open

For a fun and intense game night at a reasonable price, consider going to Bowland Salisbury.

One game at the alley only costs $11 per person for those under 17 and $13 for adults, which is cheaper than other alleys.

They also offer packages that allow you to save more money. One of them is the family plan which includes 2 hours of unlimited bowling, shoe hire, and glow-in-the-dark bowling for only $12 per person.

Your kid can also have a blast for their birthday, as the alley also hosts birthday parties for as low as $21 per person.

We also love that they have a lot of bowling lanes, allowing customers to play even on days when the alley has a lot of guests.

While the place has a lot of merits, there were also some factors that we thought were lacking, like the customer service and the condition of their facilities.

Some staff members appear to be very rude towards customers. Many players felt uncomfortable and unwelcome when dealing with them, so their time at the alley wasn’t as fun as they wanted it to be.

The facilities and equipment are also quite old and outdated. There are times when the pins or the balls would get stuck, resulting in some wasted time.

Pros

  • Open 7 days a week
  • 26 bowling lanes
  • Other games are available
  • Parking is available
  • Can host private parties

Cons

  • The menu doesn’t cater to specific diets
  • Can be busy

Zone Bowling has been in the bowling business for over 30 years and has become one of the top family entertainment providers in Australia and New Zealand.

The chain’s Cross Road branch is among the favourite hangout places of Adelaideans who want to enjoy a round of bowling with their friends and family.

The alley has 26 bowling lanes, the most out of everyone on this list. This allows them to accommodate most players without making them wait for their turn.

Just note the place can be very busy since they can host more customers. You’ll find yourself in the presence of several people, but don’t worry since you’ll still have plenty of space to move.

We also love their arcade games and laser tag, which are great activities to engage in after bowling.

Another thing we appreciate about this alley is the availability of many parking spots for customers. It’s expected that many of the players will stay at the place for a couple of hours, so it’s important that they have a place where they can safely leave their cars.

The menu, however, could use some improvement. They don’t cater to specific diets and don’t allow customers to bring their own food, so there were times when customers couldn’t find anything to eat inside.

Pros

Cons

What stood out to us the most about Elizabeth Bowland is its accessibility to people with disabilities. They have ramps for those using wheelchairs and light balls for those who are unable to carry the regular ones.

We also love that they have weekly league competitions, which is an excellent pastime for adults who are passionate about bowling.

The leagues also allow regulars to foster friendship among each other, making the environment more friendly and welcoming.

Another thing we love about this alley is its prices. Not only are they reasonable, but they also offer discounts to the disabled and groups of 20.

Disabled people can enjoy a round of bowling for only $6, which is half the regular price for adults. On the other hand, those who come in groups of 20 or more can enjoy a game for $8 per person.

They also have a mini golf course inside, so players will enjoy not only a game of bowling but also golf.

The facilities and equipment, however, could use some upgrades. There’s mould in some areas, the floor creaks, the shoes aren’t in the best condition, and the balls aren’t constantly cleaned.

The food service could also use some improvement. A few minutes of wait time for the food would be understandable, but there were times when it took almost an hour before they were served, leaving customers hungry.

Pros

  • Open 7 days a week
  • Offers a mini golf course
  • Friendly staff
  • 12 bowling lane
  • Dinosaur-themed place

Cons

  • Doesn’t guarantee 100% contaminant-free food for special diets
  • Parents who are only watching their kids still have to pay
  • Quite far from the city

Barossa Bowland is a family-owned dinosaur-themed entertainment place for families. The place offers a mini golf course and a 12-lane 10-pin bowling alley.

The several dinosaur statues scattered throughout the place will surely have your kids talking nonstop on their way home, so it’s an excellent place for a family day.

The bowling alley also doesn’t disappoint with its modern bowling machines, pins, and scoring system, guaranteeing a fun-filled game day.

We also love that there is a lot of gutter guard for the kids who want to play as well.

The staff members were also a standout. They were friendly and helpful and kept the atmosphere fun for both the parents and the kids.

We also appreciate how they kept cleaning the bowling balls to ensure they were good to go before new players used them.

While there are many things we love about Barossa Bowland, we thought some factors were disappointing.

They don’t guarantee that their food is 100% contaminant-free if you ask for food that follows a specific diet or allergic requirement. They also won’t allow you to bring your own food, so this might be a deal-breaker.

Additionally, everyone will pay for the entry fee regardless if you’ll be playing or just watching over your kids.

The Bowland is also located in Tanunda, so expect a long drive if you’re from the city.
