If aging skin has got you down and you’re looking for a little confidence boost, these aesthetic clinics have some solutions for you. In this review, I’m going to focus on one of their most popular treatments: dermal fillers.
These gel-like substances help soften lines and restore facial volume sans the lengthy downtime.
However, the outcome hinges mostly on who’s holding the syringe. The wrong injector can leave you with unwanted side effects instead of better contours.
That’s why the clinics featured here, including the ones I personally visit, are staffed by medical pros with the most consistent track records, outcome- and safety-wise.

Dr Rahma Targett launched Advanced Cosmetic Medicine (ACM) in 2016 with one clear goal: to provide non-invasive and clinically sound treatments.
You see it in how she runs the clinic, as no procedure takes place without a thorough consultation process. Timelines, outcomes, and risks are tackled realistically, with facial conditions and structures also considered.
From that, she customises a treatment plan rather than offering a standard dermal filler package. It’s often effective, as most of our interviewees said they left the clinic happy because they got what they came for.
Booking is often a smooth process too. ACM has efficient, friendly staff at the front desk, and same-day appointments are possible.
Pricing is where things get fuzzy. Some find the fees justified, while others think otherwise.
Not having weekend hours is also a small bump for us, especially since most local options are at least open on Saturdays.
Prompt, Professional
I have attended ACM a handful of times now to see Dr Targett. Each time the desk staff have been welcoming and friendly and Dr Targett is always prompt, professional and listens to all of my concerns. She does not try to push unnecessary treatments on me and is extremely open to listening to my thoughts and concerns. During my treatments she makes me feel comfortable and I always leave feeling like she’s been extremely thorough. Looking forward to continuing my treatment plan with ACM! 🙂

Among the safest places for getting dermal fillers in Adelaide is the 20-plus-year-old epiclinic. You’ll only find evidence-based procedures and TGA-regulated products here.
Patients also benefit from honest and case-by-case assessments that are carried out by medical professionals like Dr Kiat Cheng. He’s trained overseas and holds HealthCert paperwork for cosmetic injections.
Advanced tracking tech (like 3D ultrasound) is even used to prevent complications. If issues such as blood vessels being close to the surface are spotted, they won’t put the patient at risk.
Just bear in mind that epiclinic isn’t the cheapest option in the city. It’s often praised for having a relaxed atmosphere and injectors who achieve natural-looking results (Dr Molton is the fan-fave), but that comes with a high price tag.
You can’t drop by on the weekends either, and that’s a major snag for the busier lot.

Laser Skin & Vein Clinic has been doing non-surgical and highly personalised treatments for over 25 years.
What’s really striking is how their quality hasn’t gone downhill despite the longevity. “I’m thrilled/happy with the subtle/natural results” is what their recent patients told our team.
Many were also pretty chuffed that prices are reasonable for Adelaide, and that they’re modality- or treatment-based. You won’t get hit with set fees.
One downside, however, is that patients are required to pop into the salon for estimates, which may cause scheduling woes.
Replies haven’t always been quick either. A patient, for instance, mentioned emailing them several times before getting a response.
That might not matter if you care more about atmosphere. As we’ve heard, the clinic’s vibe is pressure-free and made all the sweeter by bubbly, first-timer-friendly nurses like Taylor and Megan.

I see Taylor for my Laser regularly and oh my she is amazing! Taylor makes you feel comfortable and explains the process so well for newbies. She will give you advice if she recommends anything for you to see better results and truly cares about your experience with her. I couldn’t recommend more!

Having quality practitioners is one major reason scores of people book visits to the 2016-founded Face and Body Adelaide.
Priscilla Yang, a member of AMET (Australasian Medical & Aesthetic Practitioners), is especially well rated for being a stellar listener and a gentle injector. No wonder she has patients who’ve been with her for over five years!
It also helps that she has no shortage of experience. Priscilla worked as a nurse for 20 years before moving to cosmetic medicine in 2017.
If only their efficiency were that ace. Complaints about sluggish responses and treatment delays have been raised by a couple of patients.
On a positive note, Face and Body’s anti-ageing fillers have received props for working as promised and with minimal pain.
The clinic is quite peaceful too, though it’s the solid pricing and monthly specials that really put most patients in a zen state.

Afterglow Aesthetics has accolades backing up their rep. Securing the fourth place at the Best Cosmetic Nurse in South Australia competition (2023) is one of those.
The clinic’s cosmetic injectors deserve most of the credit. RNs such as Renee and Jordan are lauded for providing minimally painful, effective, and TGA-approved dermal fillers.
Each treatment kicks off with a detailed consult as well. That’s where they analyse facial features and patiently answer questions, all without pushing unnecessary treatments.
Unlike every other entrant, though, Afterglow Aesthetics isn’t quite at or beyond the 10-year mark yet.
You may also want to call during business hours or book via the website ASAP. They may be light on years, but their demand is heavy.
If we’re talking atmosphere or hygiene, though, we have no gripes. This is a luxury clinic, and it shows in how soothing and clean the space is.
Never in a Rush
If you’re looking for a new injector Renee is your girl!
After going to 4 clinics prior, I’ve finally found my forever injector!
She is professional, caring, kind and has so much knowledge. She wont do anything that’s dangerous and because of this I always come into the clinic feeling calm and cared for.

Doesn’t Upsell
Have had two great experiences with Afterglow Aesthetics. Renee is lovely and while great at giving her experienced opinions when asked she doesn’t up sell or make unsolicited suggestions or comments on what’s wrong with your face (which is uncommon in an injectors office I’ve found). She’s great about communicating about what it is that you want to target, rather than assuming.
