Their services are comprehensive, including hypnobirthing, maternal positioning classes, nutrition advice, and more.

Ros is also consistently praised by clients for her patience and warm disposition. She also gives very helpful and specific advice.

Adelaide Lactation Consultant offers good infant sleep and lactation advice and support. In addition, they’re also Medicare-accredited, and they process transactions availing this fast.

It is operated by Megan who has over 30 years of experience in midwifery. She has extensive qualifications, including being a registered nurse and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

She’s also notable for providing a highly useful TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) machine that can relieve pregnancy pains through electrical nerve stimulation. She also rents birth slings and teaches how to use them well.

Her style is highly informative yet calm and compassionate. She also has many available appointment slots.

A notable downside, however, is that she doesn’t provide labor assistance, instead offering hospital referral and post-natal care. Also, some found her hypnobirthing classes pricey.

I was beside myself trying to figure out breastfeeding with my baby and with one session with Megan, my baby latched and had a beautiful feed. The plan that is given after consultation is highly detailed and packed full of useful information to help you thrive with breastfeeding. Will recommend her without any hesitation

“I’ve seen Megan for my three children and will recommend her without any hesitation. She is super lovely and I like the convenience of in-home consultations. In particular the more children you have the harder it is to leave the house for appointments. We had big breastfeeding issues with the firstborn and Megan helped diagnose and explain the tongue and lip tie he had. He was breastfed successfully until 15 months. Our second child didn’t have major issues but I saw Megan because I trusted her and wanted the feeding to start on the right path. We’ve now seen Megan for our third child and her advice has made feeding so much easier! You would think that by the third time you’ve got all the knowledge you need but I’ll admit it was super helpful again seeing Megan.”

Adelaide Midwives specializes in providing a comprehensive care package starting in the earliest stages of pregnancy down to six weeks after birth.

The center is led by Sue Macfarlan who has over 35 years in midwifery and who is also a registered nurse.

They’re able to meet most clients’ needs and preferences by having many birthing options (hypnobirthing, water birthing, natural, and high-risk) and having the option to have a student midwife for additional support.

It’s also great that they have both a modest meeting room in St. Vincent St. and a clinical room in the UniSA midwifery clinic, giving clients more options for comfortable consultations.

They also process referrals to more health practitioners (if needed) and Medicare rebates fast.

That said, their appointment slots are limited. Also, they take a couple of days to respond to their website contact form.

The center is led by Hannah whose philosophy is to provide holistic fertility care. Their services are extensive, ranging from conception advice to postnatal care. 

Their large team allows them to have many appointment schedules. In addition, their range of services is broad, including hypnobirthing courses (both group and solo), lactation consultation, baby/toddler sleep support, and more. 

Compared to other midwives, however, their services are pricey. They’ve also received complaints for sometimes being late to teleconsultation appointments.
