Pros

  • Also offers surfing products
  • 26 years in business
  • Accessible location
  • Knowledgeable staff
  • Open 7 days a week

Cons

  • Some instances of closing earlier than indicated on the website
  • Can get crowded

If you ask any skater in Adelaide which skate shop they recommend, Daily Grind will probably be among the suggestions of many.

After 26 years in business, Daily Grind remains one of Adelaide’s most passionate stores about skating.

The staff members are composed of skaters and surfers to ensure that customers get the best advice for their purchase.

We like how accommodating the staff are to every customer. They answer every question you have and are patient with beginners.

The store is also on Gilbert Street, so it’s very accessible. It’s also open seven days a week, so you can drop by on any day you’re available.

Just note that there were instances when the store closed earlier than what they indicated on the website. If you plan on dropping by, try to come early.

The store can also get crowded, as it’s one of the most popular skate shops in Adelaide.

Overall, Daily Grind is one of the best skate shops in Adelaide, especially for those who want to get advice from actual skaters and surfers.

Pros

  • Over 50 years in business
  • Diverse brands
  • Knowledgeable staff
  • Open 7 days a week
  • Competitive price

Cons

  • Doesn’t sell skateboards online
  • Location is down south
  • Not much information on the website

Specialising in skateboarding accessories, surfing goods, skate clothes, and footwear, MV2 has been the go-to store of a lot of skaters for the last 50 years.

Located in Noarlunga Centre, those who aren’t that far from the place should consider visiting the shop to get their skating needs.

Our favourite thing about this store is how diverse the brands that they offer are. Those who are loyal to certain brands have better chances of finding their favourite brands in the store.

The staff are also avid skaters and know a lot about skating and surfing. Those who have zero knowledge about skating but want to start learning can drop by, and the staff will help you set up your first board.

Another thing we like about the shop is the number of community events that they host to promote skating. This shows just how passionate they are about skating and the skating community.

We’re a little disappointed, however, that they don’t sell skateboards online and only sell apparel. Even the clothes being sold online are very limited and almost sold out.

On the bright side, they’re open seven days a week. If you want skateboards and other accessories, consider dropping by.

If you also want more information about them and their events, check their Facebook instead of the website. Their website contains very little information, and announcements aren’t posted there.

Pros

  • Wide range of products
  • Diverse brands
  • 21 years in business
  • Accessible location
  • Open 7 days a week

Cons

  • Expensive items
  • Not all products available online are available in-store

Since 2001, Da Klinic has been providing quality skate gear to the local community. This skate shop, located in Myer Centre, sells everything from skateboards to inline skates, roller skates, scooters, and even art materials.

We like that the store is very accessible to the public. As it’s located in a mall, you won’t have to worry about it being hard to reach.

Da Klinic offers the widest range of skate products on this list. Their online shop also offers a lot of different products, which makes shopping easier for those who don’t want to go to the store or just want to browse their catalogue before going.

Note, however, that not everything available in their online shop is available in the physical store. Those available in the physical store are labelled “Available In-store,” so you don’t have to go to the store to see if they’re available.

If you want to see the products in person before making a purchase, they’re open seven days a week. You can come over any day of the week, and it won’t be a problem.

The only downside is that their items are quite expensive. While the skates are of good quality and are priced according to the brand’s recommended retail price, they can still be too expensive for some.

Nonetheless, it still is one of the top skate shops in Adelaide. This shop is perfect for those looking for high-quality skate products with a little more to spend.

Pros

  • Offers skate lessons
  • Wide range of products
  • Free shipping for orders over $75
  • Open 7 days a week

Cons

  • Very rigid return policy
  • Smaller items than indicated on the size charts

Skate Society is another skate shop in Adelaide known for its skate products as well as what they do for the skating community.

The shop offers skating lessons to kids and anyone who’s interested in the skating world. We like how dedicated they are to teaching and growing the skating community.

They also have almost everything that you’ll need to get started with skating. From skateboards to rollerskates, to protective gears and good maintenance, they have them.

One thing we were disappointed about this shop, however, is how rigid their return policy is. It’s almost impossible to return a product.

On the bright side, they offer free shipping all over Australia for online orders over $75. This is a great bonus for customers purchasing online, as they don’t have to worry about shipping fees anymore.

The downside in ordering online, though, is that some of the items sold online are smaller than what’s indicated in the size chart. Some customers who followed the size chart still received skates that don’t fit them.

If you want to avoid this problem, you can drop by the shop any time of the week. They also have relatively long business hours, so you don’t have to rush.

Pros

  • Has multiple branches
  • Diverse brands
  • 37 years in business
  • Known sporting goods store
  • Friendly prices

Cons

  • Staff members aren’t skaters
  • Customer service needs improvement

If you want to purchase other sporting goods aside from skating products, Rebel is your best choice. It’s a well-known sporting goods store with multiple branches all over Australia.

The branch located in Rundle Mall is our top pick if you’re in Adelaide. It’s conveniently located in the mall, so you won’t have to worry about transportation.

The shop offers a wide variety of products and brands. You have a lot of choices from boards to gears.

We also appreciate that they offer friendly prices for their products. Their boards can go as low as $30, so those who are only starting can get them.

If you’re looking for more expensive and durable ones, they also have boards that are over $100.

It’s also a large store, so they can host more people. This is an advantage, as it can be very hard to shop when the store gets crowded.

The staff, however, aren’t skaters. This means you won’t get the same advice that you get from other skate shops run by actual skaters.

The customer service also needs improvement. When we visited, some staff were talking to each other instead of helping the customers, so some customers didn’t get the assistance that they needed.

Other than that, the store is the perfect shop to drop by when you’re still starting and want to get the cheapest goods possible.
