Pros

  • Long experience in tree care
  • Friendly and helpful staff

Cons

  • Unresponsive
  • Often reschedules work date

With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Adelaide Tree Surgery is highly rated for having a dedicated team of experienced arborists.

They strive to utilize the latest techniques in climbing and lowering systems to provide time-efficient tree care solutions. To ensure maximum safety compliance for each service, Adelaide Tree Surgery works closely with all local government councils.

What’s more, they have friendly staff who give free tree care and landscaping tips to help your yard bloom.

However, they missed out on a few things. First, they sometimes submit late responses to clients asking for quotations.

They have a record of providing quotations two to three weeks after the client’s request.

Their customer service line can sometimes be unresponsive. So, if you find that your inquiry has been sitting in their inbox for a few days, it’s best to explore other similar services.

Another downside is they tend to reschedule appointments multiple times. Even though they’re excellent arborists, this still makes them unreliable in terms of actually doing the service.

If you’re willing to look past that, we can recommend booking their service a few weeks early and calling for occasional follow-ups to ensure that they’re still on in the service.

Pros

  • Extensive educational background in arboriculture
  • Ongoing professional development training for staff

Cons

  • Rare occasions of no-show
  • Nontransparent pricing

The founder of Embark Tree Services, Tom Fleming has always been passionate about trees. He and his team have studied professional courses in tree science, so they proudly adhere to international standards of arboriculture.

They have had numerous training and certifications in arboriculture, making them fully equipped to perform outstanding arboricultural practices in South Australia.

To fully enhance their team’s skills in this field, they provide ongoing professional development for their staff. Should you choose to pursue a career in arboriculture, Tom provides personal training too.

Even with all the skills and knowledge, they come with a few downsides, too.

Firstly, there were rare occasions of them not showing up on the actual work date. Not only this, but they also kept rescheduling a service multiple times.

We find this unprofessional on their part, but they’re willing to make up for it by offering a discount on your next service.

The second is they don’t give out their average pricing both on their website and on the phone. It can only be given upon physical consultation.

While this makes sense, most clients will find it efficient and convenient if they can provide a rough quotation through phone or email. This way, they can easily decide if they want to push through with the service or not.

Pros

  • Long history in arboriculture
  • Highly experienced staff
  • Informative website

Cons

  • Limited services
  • Delays in responses

Established 32 years ago, All Out Trees has grown into a reputable tree removal company that services all Adelaide areas.

Each of their team members is highly experienced to work at heights, with chainsaws, chippers, and stump machines.

They can also address all types of tree problems. These include trees with power line entanglement and damaged or diseased branches.

Moreover, we find their website very informative, too. You can read a lot of helpful information like how to assess a tree yourself by checking its trunk measurement.

One downside of All Out Trees is the limited solutions that they offer. They don’t really provide other particular tree care services, like beehive relocation and root diagnosis.

However, you can still expect them to perform the basic arboricultural services in an outstanding manner.

Aside from this, you may also experience some delays in quotations. Since they receive a lot of requests, some of them tend to get missed by their admin.

A follow-up should solve this problem. They have really friendly staff who will be more than glad to assist you.

Pros

  • Fully equipped with machinery
  • Recycles wood materials into firewood
  • 24/7 cat rescue service

Cons

  • Equipment is too heavy and can damage concrete floors
  • Record of not cleaning up tree stump and debris

All Purpose Tree Services has become one of the most trusted arboriculture companies in Adelaide. Aside from tree-cutting services, they also have a wood yard where they sell various kinds of firewood.

We like that they source and recycle their firewood materials from their previous tree-cutting services.

What’s more, they offer a cat rescue climbing service that’s available 24/7.

All Purpose Tree Services comes fully equipped with all things trees. They own state-of-the-art tools and machinery to deliver all types of tree work in a timely manner.

However, their advanced machinery comes with a cost. Their equipment is so heavy that it can damage yard or driveway concrete.

Make sure you specifically ask for a ground cover because they won’t provide one by default. Take note that a ground cover is an additional service and it comes with a price.

Another downside is they have a few records of not cleaning up after their service. They sometimes miss picking up large stumps of trees and debris.

In this case, we recommend calling them directly and asking them to pick up the remaining wood mess. They’d be happy to do it straight away since they have a use for it, too.

Pros

  • Friendly staff
  • Affordable prices
  • Accommodates all types of tree works

Cons

  • Limited area of service

Jack of All Trees is a locally owned tree removal business that services the Adelaide community. They cater to both small residential jobs and large-scale commercial arboriculture works.

To add to that, Jack of All Tress is known for providing tree care solutions in an efficient manner and at affordable prices.

They’re one of the few who provide clients with a structured booking process from endorsement to scheduled home visits. This serves as a guide for first-time clients to anticipate the process.

What makes them stand out even more on our list is how they care about their clients. Their team is highly rated for going beyond the agreed service.

Not only are they concerned with the tree they’re cutting, but they also work around their clients’ landscapes and do their best to protect them. They also strive to adjust to their client’s schedules.

We find it unfortunate that they have a limited area of service. They provide tree care solutions to the southeast and west Adelaide suburbs only.

If you want to avail of their service, make sure you’re within the areas they serve. Otherwise, you should look for another tree-cutting service.
