- Services do not cater to all industries
Lynch Meyer Lawyers doesn’t advertise itself as a one-stop shop for a client’s legal needs. But to us, it comes pretty close.
Established in the 1950 Lynch Meyer Lawyers prides itself for retaining some of the best lawyers and Notaries Public in Australia. And we have to say that it’s not an empty boast.
We are happy to see that some of the firm’s lawyers have even achieved The Best Lawyers of Australia peer recognition, included in Doyle’s Guide, as well as become an ALB Finalist.
Another thing we love is that each lawyer has contact details available on their site. This makes it easy for clients to contact the lawyer they need directly.
Lynch Meyer Lawyers offers a suite of legal services. Among them are two experienced Notaries Public. We find that having dedicated expertise makes for a better client experience.
One thing we have to note though is that they don’t cater to all industries. To be specific, clients in the entertainment or arts industries may need to find services elsewhere.
Lynch Meyer Lawyers has a bilingual Notary Public who’s well-versed in Mandarin. We find this extremely helpful for clients who may be more comfortable conversing in that language.
They are also experienced in international business and transactional relations in Asia, particularly China. We find this convenient for clients planning on getting notarisation services in the region.

Pros
- Accreditations from Australian legal peer societies
- Australian and New Zealand College of Notaries – Fellow
- Recipient of triple SACE Merit Awards including the subject of Legal Studies
- Bilingual assistance: Vietnamese, English
Cons
- Industry expertise limited to services listed
Duc Mai Lawyers occupies a unique practice, servicing the general populace and the Vietnamese-Australian population in particular.
On that note, we like that their website has a section in Vietnamese. In our opinion, this goes a long way in making Vietnamese-speaking clients feel comfortable and assured that they are an important audience for this firm.
Another thing that we like is that Duc Mai Lawyers’ services tie in closely to the Vietnamese-Australian community’s legal needs. We find it great that their notarial and legal services can benefit clients who belong to that particular demographic.
And while we won’t find any case studies due to attorney-client privilege, we did come across client testimonials. Many of them are happy that they are consistently treated professionally, fairly, and walked through difficult processes expertly.
Pricing for notarial services are rarely published. This is understandable due to the fact that fees differ depending on each client’s unique circumstances.
One thing that clients need to be aware of is that Duc Mai Lawyers’ expertise is focused on industries that may not apply to all clients. We highly recommend that interested clients get in touch either through mail, phone or website to find out if they’re a good fit.

Pros
- Long service history
- Offers notarial service for international documents
- Law Society of South Australia – Gold Alliance Firm
- 24-hour web support
- Clearly-defined service coverage and process
- Longer operation hours
- Bilingual Service: Indonesian, English
Cons
- Contacting specific lawyers is through email only
We can say that Scammell & Co. has one of the longest histories on this list. They have been in service since 1887, which means they’ve accumulated a wealth of experience that undoubtedly makes them experts in this field.
We also discovered that their services have expanded to full legal, notarial, and associated services. This is an impressive move that allows clients to avail of all these services from one place.
Service-wise, clients would be interested to note that they aren’t limited to litigation and criminal law, which were the specialties the firm started with. They have since branched out to other areas of expertise, including notarial services.
The firm’s notarial services, headed by the firm’s managing partner, specialises in international documentation. We find this to be a good thing for clients that need legal documents for international use.
The firm also features bilingual notarial and legal services, particularly Indonesian (Bahasa) and English. This tells us that the Indonesian market is important to them.
We were also glad to discover that they have 24-hour chat assistance available on their site. There’s something to be said about clients being able to get the service they need, when they need it.
We just wish that Scammell & Co. made the contact numbers of its lawyers available on their website. While they do have their e-mail addresses up, we think that there are many clients who would prefer a more personal way of getting in touch.

Pros
- Good service portfolio
- Australia and New Zealand College of Notaries – member
- Notaries Society of South Australia – Executive member
- Available seven days a week
- Multilingual service: Italian, Punjabi, Hindi, Mandarin, Urdu, Malaysian, Indonesian, Hokkien/Fujian
Cons
- Doesn’t cater to commercial and industrial clients
BSG Lawyers specialises in attending to clients’ personal legal needs. This allows them to address the needs of private clients instead of organisations.
One thing that makes them unique from the other entries on this list is that they are available seven days a week. Though weekend services are by-appointment only, the fact that they’re available at all is something we – and surely, clients – find valuable.
Their service lineup focuses mostly on personal legal and notarial needs. We like that their focus is on private citizens, as this allows them to focus on their specific requests instead of having to juggle these with the more burdensome documentation needed by businesses.
Getting the services of their Notary Public is also easy. Clients can contact them directly via email if they already know what they need, and only require a quotation.
We were also happy to learn that they have a network of alliances and contacts with law firms in Europe and Asia. They are able to leverage this to assist with client needs that may require international expertise.
One thing to note. BSG Lawyers doesn’t cater to businesses and industries, which means that if you’re a corporate client, you’ll have to consider other options for your notarial needs.

Pros
- Notarial procedures are available online
- 24-hour web support
- Multilingual service: English, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay, Indonesian
Cons
- No published certifications
Bambrick Legal was established in 2010. They have a portfolio that spans several specialisations.
We first looked at Bambrick Legal’s areas of expertise. We’re happy to see that apart from notarial services, they also specialise in migration, business, family, wills and estates, and tax law.
Clients would also be happy to see that they offer their services in several languages. This is a major draw for us, as this means that they are also familiar with the cultural nuances of working with different ethnicities.
We like that their website offers a glimpse of how to avail of their Notary Public services. Having a transparent process, published and available, means potential clients know what to expect before even stepping through the door.
We’re just a bit iffy that we didn’t spot any certifications for their Notary Public services. We would advise more discerning clients to call them up and confirm their accreditation, for their own peace of mind.
However, client feedback on their services is consistent in stating that Bambrick Legal does a very good job in providing legal assistance, right down to documentation.
We’ve also gathered from client testimonials that their services are done fast, accurately, and priced fairly. Though the legal cost for notarial services is rarely ever published, that clients mention this at all is something worth noticing.
Finally, we were happy to find that their booking process is a breeze as they offer different ways to do this. Potential clients may call, schedule an appointment online or send an email inquiry.
