The 5 Best Dog Daycares in Adelaide That We’re Paw-sitive You’ll Love!
There’s something about those “puppy dog eyes” when heading out the door that just hits differently. Between back-to-back meetings and random errands, finding time for long walks or play sessions feels nearly impossible some days.
Our pups, though, aren’t big fans of us being gone, since they need their dose of fun, friends, and belly rubs too! That’s exactly why dog daycare has become a total lifesaver for so many of us.
If balancing work and playtime sounds familiar, stick around, because here are the best dog daycare centres in Adelaide to make everyone’s tail wag!

1. Take The Lead Canine Services

Website: taketheleadau.com.au
Address: 172 Middle Beach Road, Middle Beach
Contact: 0429 036 445 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM & 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
High-energy working dogs often get frustrated in cramped industrial warehouses where they can’t sprint. On a 23-acre historic farm, Take The Lead Canine Services solves that problem with seven separate one-acre playgrounds packed with obstacle courses.
Energetic guests can take on a 10-minute canine treadmill workout guided by two handlers, or join staff for supervised quad bike rides.
A friend takes her restless kelpie here and said the open paddocks wear him out.
For younger pets, their $60 puppy program builds confidence through crate training and basic manners.
The trade-off is that owners can’t tour the facility in person because outside foot traffic can upset reactive boarding dogs.
You also have to pay a $45 social assessment fee if your pet hasn’t visited in six months.
Please give Take the Lead an opportunity; you will be pleased
Both of our dogs love Take the Lead. They have used various options, from daycare, boarding, training and day hikes. I love the pup dates which lets us know how they are going and the photos are great. I know my girls love attending because they always wag their tails and hang out the window when we arrive. If you’re new to dog kennels or have had other average experiences, please give Take the Lead an opportunity, you will be pleased.

Helpful and give real-life feedback!
The wonderful crew at Take the Lead have been amazing. Both with our lovely, dog reactive old man Labrador and with our newest rescue adoptee Circe. There isn’t another place I’d trust with our babies. No matter what service, I know how safe they are and how loving and attentive everyone is there. Pupdates during doggy daycare and report cards at the end of training are so helpful and give real-life feedback!

2. Hedgegrove Pet Retreat

Website: hedgegroveboarding.com.au
Address: 157 / Lot 15 Greenwith Rd, Golden Grove
Contact: (08) 8251 1235 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM & 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Saturday, 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM | Sunday, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Dogs that feel overwhelmed by noisy pack play often struggle in traditional daycare environments. Hedgegrove Pet Retreat provides a calmer alternative, giving each guest a private indoor-outdoor suite where dogs can relax without forced group interaction.
Qualified trainers from Canine Connect work on the property, making this a rare haven for reactive pets that need patient supervision.
You can book structured 15-minute slat mill workouts or schedule a 30-minute community walk with two dedicated handlers. If you also use their dog boarding services, selecting their supplied Royal Canin diet knocks $4 off your daily boarding bill.
The downside lies in their rigid check-in schedule, which limits weekday drop-offs to strict morning and afternoon blocks. Weekend windows shrink to just two hours, and boarding requires a minimum charge of two days.
The team are amazing
Our rescue pup Dill has been going to Hedgegrove Doggy Daycare since he was 13 weeks old, a couple days a week, and he absolutely loves his time there. Each time we arrive, he almost jumps out of the car with excitement. The team are amazing with him and he thoroughly enjoys his paw n play sessions. Dill is such a happy little boy when picked up at the end of the day too.
Thank you to the entire team for taking such great care of our little boy. Tennielle and Chris.

Address: 1 Navaid Road, Adelaide Airport
Contact: (08) 8115 6080 | [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM | Saturday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Sunday, 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM & 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Frequent travellers often face an exhausting morning rush as they balance pet drop-offs with flight schedules.
Located five minutes from the runway, Beau’s Pet Hotel features soundproofed indoor playpens and a fully enclosed 400-square-metre outdoor yard with a water fountain.
Guide Dogs SA/NT (South Australia/Northern Territory) wholly owns this place, so profits flow directly into supporting local community service animals.
Attendants stay stationed inside every pen to supervise capped playgroups, ensuring active dogs stay safe while playing. Pups can even enjoy fresh lunches from The Pet Butcher, served in private dining rooms with mandatory post-meal rest periods.
However, staff are only on the premises from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm and rely on remote cameras overnight. Any initial health evaluation also carries an upfront fee that’s non-refundable if they decline your dog.
Found the service excellent
We have previously used Beau’s for both short and long term boarding and found the service excellent. Whilst our dog boarded we also booked him into regular daycare sessions and that also looked like he was having lots of fun while we were away on holiday! We will be booking our dog and 2 cats in again for a long one month stay next year so they can be well cared for giving us a stress free holiday (in relation to their care). Thankyou a great service!

4. Paw by Paw Playhouse Dog Grooming & Daycare

Website: pawbypawplayhouse.com
Address: 9 Liston Road, Lonsdale

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Saturday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Small dogs can feel intimidated when they have to share play areas with boisterous adolescent retrievers. Paw by Paw Playhouse Dog Grooming & Daycare helps keep smaller pets comfortable with dedicated small-dog zones and a built-in swimming pool.
One client shared that they booked the casual stay-and-play option while running morning errands and found the $12 hourly rate surprisingly budget-friendly.
This option also offers flexibility for shorter visits, while cage-free grooming sessions cut daycare fees by 30%.
And instead of hiring private pet sitters, owners can bring their dogs to a supervised space where experienced handlers use gentle, force-free methods to help timid rescues settle in.
But keep in mind, the $12 hourly rate covers only up to three hours, after which the price jumps to $43 for a half-day. The half-day pass also has a strict five-hour limit.
It’s clear that they really care for all of the dogs in their care
Great service! My dog goes for regular grooming and uses day care often. Staff are friendly, flexible and open to adjusting to suit my dogs needs. It’s clear that they really care for all of the dogs in their care.

He absolutely loves all the staff
My labrador has been going here for years. When I tell him it’s a doggie daycare day he leaps up and runs to the door. He absolutely loves all the staff, running into great them, tail wagging vigorously. Staff give me a clear and brief run down of how my dog’s day has been and who he has played with.

The staff are all so lovely
My dog loves going to daycare at Paws!! The staff are all so lovely that he always covers them in kisses when it’s time to go home. They send me photos while he is there and he is always having the best time with his doggy friends. We have also used their grooming service a number of times and have been super impressed. My dog always looks so shiny and gorgeous after bath time at Paws. If you are looking for daycare or grooming my dog’s face in the photos below says it all! I highly recommend

Best dog daycare place we have found
Both our dogs enjoy their experience at Paws. They have become familiar with the term “day care” and on hearing that rush to the door in excitement and when arriving pull on their leads in their hase to get in.
Best dog daycare place we have found and recommend to other owners.
Thank you carers of our dogs. They and we appreciate you.
