Clever Little Picnic is a unique little shop dedicated to all things picnic. They offer a delicious combination of cheese, seasonal fruits and veggies, a complementing dip, and sweet treats that could be great for your picnic-loving friends.
I ordered the brunch box for a close friend and me to enjoy. We had fresh fruits, pastries, and some coffee while basking in the sun on a Saturday morning. They were kind enough to add a picnic rug and cutlery in the bunch to make the experience better.
Another thing I like about them is they also offer gluten-free and vegetarian options for people with dietary restrictions.
But their service isn’t always available since they’re closed from Monday to Wednesday. This could be a deal-breaker for some people. They also don’t have a delivery service, so they require in-store pickup.
Pros
- Picnic-ready fruit baskets
- Gluten-free and vegetarian options
- Comes with picnic rugs and cutlery
- Offers more than just fruit baskets
Cons
- Closed during Monday to Wednesday
- No delivery options
An absolute gem in Largs Bay… on the whole of the Lefevre Peninsula in fact. A unique and delightful shop, beautifully presented full of gorgeous items to spoil yourself and loved ones! The owner is local and shes clearly living her passion through the shop – it shows in every way. But this shop is more than just beautiful things to buy – it’s a whole experience, offering picnics and classes – cookie decorating and perfume making – so don’t forget to ask what else is happening!

We had a beautiful picnic provided by CLP. The owner even gave us bday hats and customised the order to suit our needs. Great SA experience!

If your beloved loves flowers and fruits, Bloomex has an arrangement that combines those two for you. They have extra options to fully customize your fruit basket and rightfully convey your appreciation and feelings.
I sent a fruit harvest basket to my best friend, and she was delighted by the small surprise. She told me that they were beautifully arranged and that the seasonal fruits were sweet and fresh.
I made the gift extra special by adding a bottle of white wine and chocolates to her package so she could have a nice self-care night with it. She thoroughly enjoyed it and that made the $127 splurge worth it.
However, they’re also prone to delivery delays, and some arrangements were not like the picture. A customer also noted that their chocolates weren’t high-end brands and they looked a bit cheap.
Pros
- Offers more than just fruit baskets
- Adds flowers to their fruit baskets
- Offers fruit basket customization
- Quick 2-hour deliveries within the city
- Good customer service
Cons
- Quality is inconsistent
- Delivery delays
- Chocolates are inexpensive brands
I was totally satisfied with the order sent I upgraded the flowers, got a free teddy bottle of wine. The order arrived a day late (understandable long weekend) but they even threw in chocs for that.
Kim assisted me & was very helpful.
Would definitely order through them again.

Joe was wonderful to deal with! Polite, well-spoken, intelligent, and concise – a true gentleman! He was articulate and moved through gathering all of the necessary information in a perfectly paced manner – at no time did I feel rushed or that Joe just wanted to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. He added a personal touch in our interactions and laughed heartily at some of my humour. It was a real pleasure to have spoken with Joe! Cheers Joe, and thank you for your assistance!

Carews Florist might be known as a flower service, but they also have a variety of fruit baskets for different occasions. They have a selection of fruits in season and the option to upgrade your baskets with a couple of add-ons, like balloons and bracelets.
The one I got was a fruit and chocolate hamper for my bro. It’s a fancy combination of gourmet chocolate and seasonal fruits that he loved snacking for days. For an extra touch of love, I also added a plant to make his space feel a bit special.
He wasn’t available when the delivery came in, and the staff was kind enough to offer an option to leave it in a safe space for him to pick up later. It’s definitely a lifesaver!
However, their fruit baskets are prone to change, as their arrangements are dependent on the availability of the fruits. It can be annoying if you’re following a certain look for your arrangements, but my brother didn’t seem to mind his combination.
There were also complaints from past customers and a few friends that their prices are steep for their flowers and fruit arrangements.
Pros
- Packaged in a seagrass tray
- Customizable fruit baskets
- Offers fruit and chocolate baskets
- Offers same-day delivery
- Gifts can be left in a safe place or by the door upon request
Cons
- Fruits used are dependent on availability
- Pricey
What a lovely little shop. It’s not just a florist, it a real Aladdins cave. It has wonderful giftware, jewellery, crystals, candles & other miscellaneous items. The customer service is really one of the best I’ve come across too, nothing is a bother to look up or take out of display for you for closer inspection. I was lucky to find a pendant I’d been looking for and it was at a reasonable price too.

Lovely gift basket exactly what was on the website, delivery the next day. Open to taking instruction about delivery if recipient potentially not home to accept. Would not purchase my flowers or gift baskets from anyone else. Thank you Shirley

From edible bouquets to beautiful fruit arrangements, Bunchilicious offers a variety of gift selections perfect for any occasion. You can level up your fruit basket gift with their stunning fruit bouquet and maybe even a side of strawberry-covered treats, too.
I had a friend who was stressed at work, so I sent her a not-so-healthy fruit basket to cheer her up. I got her the Thor’s Indulgence chocolate hamper, which was a set of chocolate-covered fruits, like strawberries, cherries, blueberries, raspberries, and some nuts.
I like how there are mini liquors available in the set that could make de-stressing a bit more fun. She raved about how she enjoyed the selection, and it pushed her to gift her friends as well. $145 seems small if the results meant she was happier and more chill afterward.
However, a customer complained about a delivery that was late for a few hours and their customer service wasn’t accommodating of their request to at least refund the delivery fee. The result wasn’t satisfying for both the customer and their receiver.
Pros
- Combines flowers and fruits in one arrangement
- Uses fresh fruit and flowers for arrangements
- Beautiful arrangement
- Offers same-day delivery within 45 km of Adelaide
Cons
- Delivery delays
- Cold customer service
- Closed during Sundays
Incredible service. High quality of all products. Fresh and delicious! Love it!

Pretty Petals might be known for their flower arrangements for different occasions, but they also have a gifting service that includes a fresh fruit basket option. The fresh fruits are neatly arranged on a woven basket and wrapped in clear plastic for a touch of rustic charm.
It’s a simple arrangement, but my mom loved the fruit basket and a small bouquet I customized for her. She loved how fresh the fruits were and that the flowers I added on the side looked healthy.
She asked me how to order so she could send some to her friends! I guess the $80 fruit basket and the $50 My Fair Lady bouquet were worth it.
However, some buddies said that Pretty Petals being closed on Sundays is a problem. There was also a complaint from a customer saying that the plant they received from the store had a plastic sheet that made the plant wilt and die in a few days.
Pros
- Delivered in an air-conditioned van to retain freshness
- Beautifully presented in a basket and plastic wrap
- Offers more than just fruit baskets
- Offers same-day deliveries within the city
Cons
- Closed on Sundays
- No proper care instructions for plants
Perfect service – I phoned after 3pm from Melbourne for a ‘Happy’ lot of flowers to be delivered that day to Ashford hospital. Had no room details. Lieu said she would phone hospital. Patient phoned me later in evening so thrilled. We all had a happy experience!

I have always had excellent dealings with Pretty Petals. The owner is very enthusiastic and helpful, the flowers always seem very fresh. Most recently, yesterday, the recipients described the flowers as ‘absolutely magnificent’.
